... "Philosykos (Eau de Parfum) | Diptyque", I bought it full price. Edit : just saw the message of the curious person wanting to know how much 😂. I paid it 160 €, it's OK compared to what I see in here 😆

How do you decide to buy a full bottle?

... I make several trips to a perfumery shop, and sometimes a discovery sticks and I get obsessed over it. I then make trips only to wear it more and discovery more facets of the scent. And that's often when I'm overly obsessed and buy it. I try to sample more now, though. As I had regrets for two of these before. It's hard sometimes to get out of the rush when you think you were just lovestruck.

... EvitaVilla Do designers private collections count? If so, then I would go for "Armani Privé - Figuier Eden | Giorgio Armani" Oh fig scents can get soooo good. I'll try it if I manage to find it in a store ☺️

... Ninamariah Maybe not hidden but something which is just considered as women's perfume but is totally unisex: "Coco (Eau de Toilette) | Chanel" "Coco (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" "Coco (Parfum) | Chanel" The quality and the complexity is amazing. All niche collectors as well should know this masterpiece. I have a vintage edt and extrait. I tried new versions as well and they are good. There is a little bit difference between eat and edp, not only in concentration. Extrait de parfum is out of this world. I love all perfumes regardless of marketed gender, and hadn't considered trying Coco. Thanks!

... Zavy "Rochas Man (Eau de Toilette) | Rochas" is still wonderful and relevant as of today + it's very inexpensive. Oh I definitely noticed the bottle, as it is atypic. I'll try it next time, thanks!

... Smirky Pierre Cardin's Fusion is very nice. A bit weak, but since it's so cheap, one can overspray/reapply. It's not in the database here. The small, 50 ml bottle is only $7 from a discounter in the US. The bottle looks like something out of a 70's sci-fi movie. I was almost shocked at how good it smells, made in France, cool bottle and so cheap. Hardly anyone knows about it. Wow, the bottle design is very excentric, indeed! I will have to give that a try. How did you discover this brand?

... Hi everyone! Title might be a little excessive but here's my point. Recently I took a little detour to a Sephora store to sample some fragrances I hadn't discovered yet. There I gave a sniff at "M7 (2011) / M7 Oud Absolu | Yves Saint Laurent" and I was surprised that such a beautiful scent wasn't more popular! And so I wonder: do you know of other fragrances released by designer brands, that are less spoken and underrated?

... Metal blade The physcool base note in "H24 Herbes Vives | Hermès" really evokes me this picture! As if you smelled a blade which just sliced a juicy pear 😊

... My boyfriend wears "Goddess | Burberry" and despite the composition being very simple, I think it’s a really glowing vanilla, well supported by the lavender. The chord of iris-vanilla in "Shalimar Millésime Iris | Guerlain" is really beautiful, too. It’s not niche territory at all, but I find these very pleasant to have around.

... JSO60 "H24 Herbes Vives | Hermès" . This new fragrance is very green, fresh. When it gets to the base note, Physcool, it should also be cooling. The weather was a little too cool where I was to notice that. I also have Herbes Vives, I agree it's a perfect match for green freshie! On reddit I also suggested it to people looking for scents that give "futuristic" vibes. The picture I get with this one is like smelling a blade after it has sliced a juicy pear.

... Hi everyone! I'm from France, Normandie which is a lovely region. I go by he/they pronouns. I've become really interested in fragrances last year during a trip to Frankfurt. I saw a Diptyque stand in a shop there, which is a brand I had never encountered. My first fragrance love was Phylosykos, it was the first time I encountered a fragrance that much different from the ones you buy at regular shops. Very realistic and I was so transported ❤️ Didn't buy it because Diptyque bottles are pricy, only bought the bottle last November but the scent kept in my head all that time! Before that I never was interested in perfume beyond having a bottle at hand for special occasions. I care a lot about gender roles, and so about gender labelling of perfumes. I think they are restrictive and often serving the narrative of gender roles in society (always cringed at the marketing). I'm happy to find perfumes that blur the lines despite keeping a marketed gender! You can see in my collection that I purchased more after finding Phylosykos! I'm in a phase where I'd like to explore as broad as possible the spectrum of notes and scent profiles, and enjoy the process of getting to know the classics and discovering new types to love! As for presence in the forums, I always have been a lurker but I may get my head out once in a while if the topic piques me!
