... I've been in a similar situation. At any of my previous jobs, sooner or later a coworker comments about my fragrance regardless of what it is. Usually it's a compliment. I remember working in an office where the entire staff gave me weird bad vibes for multiple reasons. My boss was also very hot and cold towards me, like one second making me feel like a god and the next second making me feel like hot garbage. Anyway, one of the things I always thought was weird was that no one ever complimented my fragrance. I remember trying something new every day and hoping for some sort of reaction, but I got nothing. I took that as an early sign that the job wasn't for me, as stupid as that may sound. I almost would rather be told my perfume smells bad than nothing at all, so I feel you.
