Perfume Recommendations
... I think Floris, Creed, Penhaligons really encapsulate the sort of fresh natural side of British perfumery, if u want something more wild and niche Id really recommend papillon and Jorum Studios

... Id look for something more natural and in a different genre to what u have. U have many ambery sweet fragrances and blue showergel stuff, so id go and look for florals, specific woods, etc. Id recommend a vetiver, maybe Terre dhermes or Guerlain Vetiver edt, that way u get more woods, a new note u dont have and a classical style of perfumery.

... Indie and Ultraniche tend to be worse quality and worse smelling than high end designer, designer private line and established niche like say Amouage, Serge Lutens and Creed. Not to say there arent amazing creations, but 99% f the time a good Guerlain bodies any ultraniche composition from made in some guys basement.

Perfume Recommendations
... The only fragrance house with access to real honey is Guerlain, they own the patent, "Tobacco Honey | Guerlain" is genuinely the most photorealistic honey ever made. I know its outside the price range, but id at least consider smelling it to compare other things to and understand ur tatses.

... Oh my, what a cool prompt, here would me mine: 1.) A gothic rose, "Memoir Woman (Eau de Parfum) | Amouage" 2.) A dry warm suede, reminding me of the scary side of Egyptian mythology, "Anubis | Papillon Artisan Perfumes" 3.) Something black, outer darkness, "Black Afgano (Extrait de Parfum) | Nasomatto" 4.) Something to remind me of Cthulu and the old gods lose under the sea, "Squid | Zoologist" 5.) Church Incense, "LAVS | Filippo Sorcinelli"

What is your favorite vetiver fragrance?
Delarosafrag

Perfumes & Brands
... My personal Vetiver is "Sultan Vetiver | Nishane" but Id also conside others like "Vétiver Tonka | Hermès" , "Vetiver (Eau de Toilette) | Guerlain" , "Sycomore (2016) (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" and "Bel Ami Vétiver | Hermès" to be amazing. Muh more classic than Sultan, which is super spicy, complex and a beaast. Really depends on ur tastes

... As for a clean sandalwood, two really come to mind: For something fresh and chic "Bois des Îles (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" , and for a creamy sandalwood forward fragrance "Santal Complet | Fragrance Du Bois" which also has tropical facets.

... Ive decided to de clutter, going from about 30 fragrances to a HARD maximum of 12. Every scent has to be unique in what it does and not redundant, any new fragrance I buy has to be better, or make me want to replace something I have. This forces me to test more, not overconsume and think about, what are my genuine tastes? I love this approach, and now whenever I want to try something I stick to testing over buying. One thing that really helps is understandin how to differenciate "I love this" from "I want to buy this."

... Id honestly reccomend looking for "Habit Rouge (Eau de Parfum) | Guerlain" on a discounter, leathery, spicy, citrus, not as floral as the original edt. Id try before buying. Very classic signiature scent.

Perfume Discussions
... Honeslt, My advice is always the same. Look at a genre or note you want to explore, preferably one you ont have in your collection in order to avoid redundancy, then explore and get samples/ try in stores. ie: Interested in Ginger? Ingenious Ginger, Une Nuit a Doha, 5 Oclock au Gingembre, Imagination all have prominent ginger notes, it could be a good idea to check them out, or just a few of them. Then you can get an idea. Personally, hated Ingenious Ginger, but quite liked 5 oclock au gingembre, even if it had mid performance. Id also look out for classic brands in General: Frederic Malle, Amouage, Serge Lutens, Diptyque, Creed, Guerlain. In general I try and use these as a sort of benchmark for niche quality (especially with their older stuff) and If im looking for a perfume in a genre and they have one, Im always curious to try.
