Hot tyres / rubber smell - help!!!!!

... DRKSHDW Gaiac wood may cause this. Take a break from the fragrance, try it again in a week or two. See if anything changes. Maybe, it's just your nose (or CoV!d)? Thanks for the advice. I will be taking a break because this morning I came out in a speckly red rash where I sprayed it. Looks like I'm also allergic to something in it.

... I recently purchased a bottle of "1270 | Frapin" as it was glorious!!!!! But now when I wear it, I get a strong smell of car tyres after a few minutes. It's ruining this gorgeous perfume for me as unfortunately it's long lasting! I don't know if it's a reaction with my skin, or just an oddity of my nose, but I did a search of the forum and it is mentioned quite a few times about a variety of perfumes. What ingredient or note would be causing this? Candied bitter orange peel Prune Hazelnut Raisin Cocoa Tonka bean Coffee HEART NOTES Spices Immortelle Pepper Grape blossom Linden tree BASE NOTES Gaiac wood Precious woods Vanilla White honey

... FreshKatsu Speaking as someone from Asia this whole debate is pretty demoralising. Personally I would rather not see the word 'oriental' because of the way it conjures up the 'mystic orient' myth and associated negative feelings. It is also inaccurate as a description. While I understand that it's difficult to change a historical term, it is hardly an unprecedented ordeal. Other fields in the humanities have also encountered similar issues and embraced evolving language as a necessity. Maybe I'm naive but why we can't develop a new word for this category? If amber is too confusing, what about resinous? warm spicy? Or straight up call it Shalimar? Why is it so hard and why can't we try? My vote would be to change this outdated term as many other platforms have done so. What about "Exotic" as a term? This was what the original term was partly referring to. The rich, spicy notes from the Asia/Middle East region. And of course the sultry sensual mystical image that titilated Europeans.
