Reviews - is it too much to ask to wear the scent properly?

... why don't you just look out in the reviews for parfumo members you trust with their reviews? (i think you can also follow people to se all their reviews/posts ?) you don't have to read reviews you don't find helpful and you can even check in the rating how your preferred reviewer rated the scent. Let's not forget that all of these reviews are highly subjective and there is not necessarily an objective 'best practice' for reviewing perfumes especially in a forum of perfume enthusiasts that are not perfumery experts. Also usually fragrance notes don't always list all the notes a perfume contains, so even if tuberose is not listed it might be in the perfume? Alternatively, the person might be completely wrong, but I feel like this mostly bothers people like you and not the perfume newbies you're claiming to look out for. If they're that new to perfumes that they can't distangle which reviews are valid than telling them something smells " like birch tar and ethyl maltol" is not helpful either, because they won't know what those thing smell like. Not everyone has the same knowledge base to find the same things helpful. If you want to be inclusive, it's important to have a diverse range of reviews. You can award good reviews / statements and ignore the others, I feel like that would be more appropriate than having restrictive rules on reviews.
