What are your best performing fragrances?

... "Guidance (Eau de Parfum) | Amouage" I sprayed it (and not oversprayed) just before getting in my car. And that was my mistake x) I smelt it for 2 weeks ! 🤣 of course less and less day after day but still... And it lingered like crazy, everyone could tell where I went in the office, all day long x) I like a good performance, but hey, it's a bit much with this one.

... I've tried "Lavande | Domaine Privé" once. Didn't get the FB, just have a sample, but it was really pleasant :) And it's 90€ for 100 ml. I have the "Vanille" one, which is really good and quite original for a vanilla fragrance. You get a really nice fragrance for a decent price imo 🙂

... The first fragrance that really got me into it was "Baraonda (Extrait de Parfum) | Nasomatto". It was my first niche fragrance. Followed shortly after by "Tobacco Vanille (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford". Before that, I had some perfumes, but never got really interested in them, neither by discovering more.

I usually smell a lot fragrances in the realm of "Miss Dior (2021) (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" and "Good Girl (Eau de Parfum) | Carolina Herrera", "Baccarat Rouge 540 (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian", "Acqua di Giò pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Giorgio Armani", "Sauvage (Eau de Toilette) | Dior". During summer, I smelt many fresh citrusy or aquatic scents that I didn't recognize. Once, I was really not expecting smelling this in the gym, but a man came blessed me by taking the treadmill next to me. I recognized it immediatly, he was wearing "Sand Dance | Stéphane Humbert Lucas". Glorious day. I stayed a bit longer. Also, one time, I was in the grocery store, sunday morning. A man doused himself in "Oud Maracujá | Maison Crivelli". It was a bit unexpected too 😅 In Paris I can still smell "Baccarat Rouge 540 (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" and its dupe a lot. Mainly when you take the metro. I smell a lot of very heavy scent with that fake cypriol accord that knocks out my nostrils. I cannot pinpoint a fragrance in particular as they all smell similar to my nose. There is a fragrance or a fragrance DNA that I smell a lot in Paris on women, mostly younger women : a honeyed Orange blossom scent with a heavy vanilla base and something really musky. It feels like a teenager scent. I absolutely hate that scent as it makes me feel nauseous. Do you have any idea what it can be? What i love is when you walk in the posh neighbourhood, you will often come across a middle aged or older woman wearing some of the Legendaires' Guerlain like "L'Heure Bleue (Eau de Parfum) | Guerlain" or "Après L'Ondée (Eau de Toilette) | Guerlain" . It always brings me joy when it happens Immediately thought about "Le Parfum (Eau de Parfum) | Elie Saab", as it is 100% in the realm of honeyed orange blossom scent, or it could be something like "Oriana | Parfums de Marly" or "Love Don't Be Shy (Perfume) | Kilian" ? (edited : could be "Scandal | Jean Paul Gaultier" too) Yesss, it always brings a smile to my face when I recognize a beautiful fragrance on someone !

What are YOUR favourite patchoulis?

... I'm not a fan of patchouli either, but "Psychédélique | Jovoy" is so good ! It's thick and earthy, but it has a "chocolate cake" feel to it (not a gourmand though) and it helps quite a lot for a non patchouli lover. I even thought about buying a FB.

I don't know if I'm accurate with my choices but my suggestions would be : "Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar | 42 | Kayali" : you can feel the candy aspect in this one for sure, but it doesn't stay all along at least for my nose, "La Danza delle Libellule (Eau de Parfum) | Nobile 1942" : this is more juicy than candy-like but maybe it could suit your taste. I think it's not precisely the accord you're looking for 😅 I'm trying Edit : I would add "Ambre (Extrait de Parfum) | Les Eaux Primordiales", which I think have this cinnamon apple pie side, just like Khamrah has imo

... I would like to help, but to my nose, Khamrah is not a candy-like scent. I think it's because the cinnamon makes me think more of an apple pie, even though there's no apple note in it. What are you searching for ? Cinnamon, dessert like ? Or straight up sweet/candy ?

KillaAmanda What makes blue fragrances "for men" to you? is it because they're too strong like spicy or woody you know "masculine thing" I think that citrus, fresh, aquatic fragrances, my brain associates this with "men only". This kind of scent is really not my cup of tea. It's mostly aquatic that bothers me I think. On the contrary, through in spices and woodsy notes, and it can become really appealing to me. @Ceesie As a woman, my dream is not to smell like a pastry or a bouquet of flowers. Once in a while, I can fancy some diabetes inducing fragrances, but that's not my "dream fragrance" per say. But I think flowers, rather than pastry, appeal to a large part of my fellow sisters. As for myself, I think I'm not the best target for women marketed fragrances. I edit because I didn't even answer. My dream fragrance would be made with my favourite notes : throw in ambery notes, woods, tobacco, spices. Perfect base to appeal me.

... We are different for sure. But we can share similar tastes too. That being said, I would never wear a fragrance like "Chrome (Eau de Toilette) | Azzaro", "Acqua di Giò pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Giorgio Armani" and marketing has nothing to do about it. It's just too manly for me. All these blue fragrances are for men to my nose. Although, I can totally wear something like "Opus XIV - Royal Tobacco | Amouage", which I think is even manlier than Chrome 😅but it's not the same kind of fragrances. And with niche fragrances, I feel like dichotomy is less obvious, even though some houses still have a men's and a women's collection. I don't know if I'm being clear 😅

... I get compliments mostly from my coworkers, as my family and I have very (emphasis on very 😅) different taste when it comes to fragrances. All year round : "Ani X | Nishane" : so many people liked it and came asking for its name. "La Capitale | Xerjoff" : likewise. Even my boyfriend said it smelt really nice 😮 to my utmost surprise ! Autumn/winter : "Imperial Peacock (Eau de Parfum) | Alexandre.J" : my male colleagues said that they never smelt anything sexier than this. Was not expecting that at all 😂

... I left the dark side a few months ago, I was on the french side, but checked the US version from time to time. I couldn't stand it anymore, for several reasons : - The wrong olfactive pyramids being the worst, and people in the reviews swearing they smell so clearly that one note, that is absolutely not used in the fragrance (coconut was written on F-site instead of cocoa (checked on the house website to get the real pyramid), which was not mentioned at all), - Followed by the "I hope it doesn't smell like ...", "I want to smell this one so baAaAd" in the reviews. How helpful, right ? - French people being really snobbish about everything but vintage juices. I found peace in here 😁

My spanish is only a bunch of memories from school and I will need of signs to be understood 😅 I understand Corsican because I lived there for years but I can't speak it
