It has both "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" and "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" Can't found it sadly. Only full bottle 100 ml for both. So do or die situation Edit: now I can't even buy "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" since it's already sold out at the sole seller. @ald007 the masculine discovery set is available on Francesca's website and she ships internationally. It didn't take too long to receive it (I'm in the US) and shipping wasn't that expensive. Of course, it might be different for your country. Regarding Black Knight, yeah the middle part of the drydown was quite floral/femme to me. It's supposed to represent the knight's mistress. And it hung around for like 2 hours for me. That's why I didn't like it. To be honest, I don't remember the exact details regarding longevity. They were about the same - pretty good, I think. My customs on import is pretty annoying sadly. Adding humongous tax on "luxury" thing (yes, fragrance is luxury item here, so almost 2x the retail price after the tax) So, if I wanted smoky one, maybe I need more at "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" and "Opus XIII - Silver Oud | Amouage" ? I'm now adding "Kutay | Unique'e Luxury" into my options since I wore it last week and it lasted for 14 hrs+

... Thanks for all the reply. I just wanted to make my purchases worth every penny. My IBI decant also should've been sit for a long time at the seller's shelf Maybe I'll just go with SO since I never saw IBI on sale again. Sadly IBI is my most favourite offering from Amouage, followed by SO, RT, IB53. Also I don't like the idea of reapplying fragrance that priced more than $150. Now I just waited for SO came back to sale again. I had an alternative that I would like to have if I can't have SO "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" it's also cheaper than Amouage but still strikes me with the buttery Iris (perfect to replace IBI)

Interlude Black Iris and Silver Oud recent batches

... So, I'm interested on Amouages, especially "Interlude Black Iris | Amouage" or "Opus XIII - Silver Oud | Amouage" . But I had my doubt to pull the trigger since both are rare to find on discounters here (Indonesia) and reformulations. Yes reformulations. I had "Interlude Black Iris | Amouage" sample with batch code G25058 (not really sure on last 4 digits, since the seller sent me and got glares) and "Opus XIII - Silver Oud | Amouage" sample from same seller with batch code H26975. My problem is "Interlude Black Iris | Amouage" sample is not strong enough. On my skin it only lasted 8 hrs. I remember spraying it on test strip at one of boutique and it lasted 3 days, and more than 12 hrs on my skin. Is that true It got reformulated and watered down? I wanted to buy them but I can't find seller with old bottle (let alone finding it, it's already a miracle). Also to subtitute them, I'm looking at "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" and "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" , and still can't decide which one is better and could replace Amouages. Any suggestion? But please don't give me ultra niche that sold exclusively, because I',m 100% sure I can't found it or far off my budget (my budget is $200)

... Smirky ald007 Wusubi @ald007 Damn, I know that feel. It's impossible to replicate the mix of sweetness and smokiness "Opus XIII - Silver Oud | Amouage" achieves. Such a striking combination makes Zarokian the best perfumer of our generation imo. I would search for perfumes with gaiac wood and birch tar (or cade oil, often listed as cade juniper). The resinous depth will often be missing though. "Terroni | Orto Parisi" and "Maahir Black Edition | Lattafa / لطافة" come to mind. @Smirky has some experience with Maahir. I see I don't want to buy Orto Parisis since they only available in 50 ml and the price is pretty expensive. That's why I'm considering "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" and "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" . @Smirky please come here, since you're FB connossieur I don't know about an FB connoisseur. I only sampled 5 scents that make up her masculine sample set. None of them were anything similar to Silver Oud. Also, all the FB scents have a subtle, common FB touch or DNA that is not in Silver Oud. The FB scents are sweeter than Silver Oud. Dark Side isn't an oud fragrance but smells like the inside of a wooden drawer or cabinet, very dry with hints of varnish. Black Knight is also not near Silver Oud. Out of the two, I liked Dark Side the best, but again, it's not Silver Oud. "Maahir Black Edition | Lattafa / لطافة" strikes me as more leathery than woody with a bit of fruity sweetness. I haven't used it for a few months. I'll do a test spray in a few hours just to confirm my thoughts and report back here. I found it to be pretty nice but not anything close to Silver Oud. To be honest, I can't think of anything that comes close to Silver Oud. You may want to try "Special Amber Oud | Armaf" or perhaps "Golden Oud | Al Haramain / الحرمين" but both of those are more creamy and not really smoky. Special Amber Oud has more of a woody bite, but still not like Silver Oud. Smirky @ald007 I did test sprays of Silver Oud, Maahir Black and Special Amber Oud. @Wusubi made a good call. Maahir Black, after it dries down , shares some similar aspects with Silver Oud. The both open quite differently. Silver Oud is definitely woodier with the oud scent which Maahir Black lacks. Special Amber Oud is quite different from either Silver Oud or Maahir Black. So, you may want to test Maahir Black. I'm glad I made this comparison. I still have a sample of Special Amber Oud and was going to buy a bottle but after this comparison, I like Silver Oud and Maahir Black better. Won't be buying it. I think I'm going to order Maahir Black either blindly or decants LOL. Also for FB, I was watching both "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" and "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" and vetiver in BK intrigued me. I really love vetiver both in my freshie and darker scent. Also you did tell me BK doesn't strike you like "Afrika-Olifant | Nishane" so I think I'm going to buy BK pretty much blindly (yes, it's risky but as long as it got FB signature orris blend I'm okay. Also it's rarer than DS so sampling it will be hard to do). Also "Maahir Black Edition | Lattafa / لطافة" got badass bottle too Edit: @Smirky I was reading your review and some other reviews on "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" . Is that true BK had floral facet (and rose) that strong enough to perceive it fem-leaning frag? Does it overpower the vetiver? Also how much the differences on performance (longevity, sillage etc) between "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" and "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" ? If that so, maybe I will do a u-turn and back to "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi"

Wusubi @Edelwolf Two gems that I'm ordering this summer: "Dahn Al Oudh Qadeem / دهن العود قديم | Ajmal" "Oud de Burgas | Santi Burgas" I agree "Opus XIII - Silver Oud | Amouage" is a sweet and mass-appealing perfume, but it's also earthy, smoky and a bit animalic. I loved Silver Oud but sadly I can't find it anywhere. I missed my chance to buy it when it was $200 ish Now I'm looking for replacement that has similar smoky nuances. Based on my budget and availability, I'm looking at "The Dark Side | Francesca Bianchi" and "The Black Knight | Francesca Bianchi" but still can't decide. (I already had DS sample and I loved it, but I don't get the smoke enough, so I'm looking at BK). Any recommendation?

... I also like dark fantasy scents (my collection made up mostly darker scents) I'm considering to buy Francesca Bianchi's The Dark Side or Black Knight. I already got Dark Side sample and I love it, but sadly for me it's still need to be darker and smokier (I don't really get smoke from Dark Side, unlike other people). Will Black Knight solve my problem?
