Perfumes on Vinted : Are they scams ?
Suchel
|
Perfume Discussions
... I've been using Vinted for several years, and I've never had a problem with scams, fake or fraud. I've bought everything. What you might encounter are problems with local shipping, delivery to the wrong neighborhood, forgetfulness and actually, broken or open bottle due to poor care work by the seller. It's always possible to get scammed, but you have two days after receiving the item to report a problem using Vinted's buyer protection. Typically, if you've been scammed, Vinted will review all the evidence, and if there's strong evidence that you've been scammed or that the item is counterfeit Vinted won't ask you to return it to the seller and will refund your money. Based on my experience on the platform, this online marketplace is safe.

Do you ever have the feeling your collection is 'complete'?
Suchel
|
Perfumes & Brands
... Well, There are those who collect and there are collector "collectionist". Someone who collects items as a hobby. For those who collect, "action of collecting random objects" the feeling of having a complete collection will come sooner or later., but for collector, "involves acquiring, organizing, and preserving items that hold personal significance or value" the feeling of having a complete collection doesn't really exist. due the desire to acquire more perfumes and colognes is often a key part of the enjoyment. Those who love fragrances have a strong liking or passion for perfumes and other scented products, encompassing both the appreciation of the scents themselves and the broader cultural, emotional, and personal significance associated with them. They will always look for them., though, your perfume wall cabinet is overfull. 😉

Do you ever blind buy? Or do you always test first?
Suchel
|
Perfume Discussions
... Blind buying ) I don't think it's a good idea. Actually, I don't think anyone would walk into a perfume shop and blindly choose a perfume without knowing what it smells like, whether they like it or not, or just spend money for the sake of spending it. Testing it first allows you to evaluate how the fragrance smells on your skin and if it suits your taste. Now, buying samples or small bottles blindly may be fine, but picking up a Tom Ford Oud Wood, a Boss Bottled Oud, La Nuit de l'Homme, or the legendary Creed, I don't think so. It is essential to test perfume before buying.

Fragrance Compliments
Suchel
|
Perfume Discussions
... Yes! I do get a lot of compliments on them., And'm sure it has to do with the kind of fragrance I wear. As many of you know, I'm a big fan of vintage fragrances, and this category (vintage), attracts a lot of attention due to their classic notes, longevity, potent and its natural formulations., which are different from the modern trend of synthetic and reformulated fragrances. I often wear Agua Brava, Koros, Boss Number One, Hugo Boss Boss, M7, Jazz, Drakkar Noir, among other classics, and I do receive quite a few compliments. These have different notes and are not widely wearing among those present. I think that fragrances with a greater inclination towards the Woods, Flowers and Aromatic group are more acceptable in society.

Do you believe in signatures?
Suchel
|
Perfume Discussions
... Me too Ringtale , can't choose one perfume to be my signature., In my case, they all represent me. I enjoy wearing them, but there are always favorites for certain occasions or one that is the best of all. If you mean a signatures as a characteristic scent that is deeply associated with a person, then, I will consider Jazz by Yves Saint Laurent as my signature.

... I'll say that, When I buy perfumes and colognes, it's because they remind me of the ones I had, or it's one of those I had. No doubt!, the perfumes and colognes of the past were classic, because they were based on Quality. Nowadays, Ingredients become banned or unavailable. Or too expensive to use. Houses get bought and sold. Companies reformulate to match current tastes. Companies want to save money and strip down their products., In other words, a lot of quality is lost and very few modern perfumes can be admired.

What really makes you BUY a perfume?
Suchel

Perfumes & Brands
... I'll say, an extension to our personality. In addition to our combination of characteristics and qualities, smelling pleasant is essential. But the emotion that pulls the trigger to buy them, is more a nostalgic feeling.

buying rare perfume on ebay is a fool’s game
Suchel
|
Perfume Discussions
... Rare perfume! I think we should buy things we know. A rare perfume would be something that you don't know. When fragrances are from another era, vintage in general, their boxes are almost always somewhat damaged. eBay is a cesspool., There are tons of fakes out there. I would avoid buying niche fragrances on eBay. You may get lucky, but about fragrances, there is a high chance of selling fake authentic ones.

Perfume Discussions
... Oh Yes!, Drakkar Noir, Azzaro pour Homme, Polo, Agua Brava, Red for Men.... Well, My cologne purchases are based on Nostalgia. I mean, When I buy a cologne, it is because it reminds me of those moments in the past. Nostalgic, a sentimentality for the past. some modern ones that I have, are related to the past. like Hugo Extreme, which is Hugo Boss from 95, the Black Rasasi Royale, is Boston Man cologne by Antonio Puig from 88...

When did you become a perfume addict?

Parfumo Community
... Ceesie Hi @Suchel yes I mean, when did you go next level on this smell-fascination? For me it’s basically when I found this website 😂 I guess I got it) When I started to come across the perfumes and colognes that I had already had, those we call vintage. Finding them, seeing them, using them, is simply going to the next level on this smell-fascination 👌

Opinion on Parfumo website

... Degoya Honestly it's a good Site., Good visual design, content, much better reviews than any other site, performance and loading speed. but for me, its deficiency is in the architectural form of the web., I mean, its internal structural model . the way in which a website is organized through its internal linking. I think it started very simpel and they have built on top of it with every new iteration. Because it scaled since then by a margin and they keept building on top of that foundation, it can make it very hard to implement new features. That's my assumption at least. Parfumo has a lot of potential and still room to grow. I'm excited to see how it will evolve. You right, those are facts. But I repeat, renewing it and maintaining the initial foundation would be a quite difficult task. Parfumo has a lot of potential ) agree., and Its popularity is growing.

... Degoya Ceesie 32 Posts 7 1 hour ago I find the experience quite good actually. What are your gripes? Adding a perfume to a wishlist is somewhat hidden on a perfume page. Not only that but the whole action buttons sector, such as collection, review and so on are strangely placed. It’s all over the place and not coherent in my opinion. There’s no submit button when rating a fragrance, but for reviewing there is. Same with "smell similar" which is in another sector altogether. The first time I used both features, I didn’t know if my changes were saved or not. I don’t know why my "similar smell" suggestions are even hidden under another button in the first place. The „See Prices“ button could be realized a bit more intuitive on perfume pages. Like you would expect from Google and other sites, that show you the listings on the same page. I don’t know how I can subscribe to certain Perfumes in the souk and add them to my watchlist. Adding individual listings to my watchlist is possible, however, you first need to open „view my souk“ and then click on "watchlist", which is not intuitive. When I write someone a message in the souk listing, I can’t see the actual product I was inquiring about when I click on my mailbox later on. In my user profile, I can see my collection, which is also available as a separate page when you click on it. You can’t infer that from just having your user profile open. Same with top picks, which you can only access when you click on your user icon in the upper right corner of the screen. I don’t know why it lists the links to the collection, my ratings and so on in the first place when you have already a link to your user page. They are already sub-sectors of your profile anyway. It’s strange to list them there and makes things just bloated. Notes, blog and assistant are also strange features in my option and add unnecessary complexity. For example, I don’t know how I can see the blog of another user. It doesn’t show up on their profile pages. So what's the point of having them anyway? Overall, there are a lot of things that are too convoluted, hard to find and easy to miss, which is really a shame. Hi Degoya, You are correct in your observation about the functioning of the page. It is a small deficiency in the management - set of stored digital files., something very difficult to deal with, when handling many digital files. Honestly it's a good Site., Good visual design, content, much better reviews than any other site, performance and loading speed. but for me, its deficiency is in the architectural form of the web., I mean, its internal structural model . the way in which a website is organized through its internal linking. It can be mapped and renewed, but it will take time. I hope they can take a look at these things, so the site works better.

How did you get into fragrances?
Suchel
|
Parfumo Community
... Kurai Suchel Before working at the Suchel Fragancia Company, I was handling cologne bottles and flavoring the talcum powder., which led me to love colognes, soaps and talcum. During that time, I dedicated myself to making essential Bonabel oils into cologne. We compared the cologne that came from Eastern Europe and in this way a fascinating world of fragrances began. Iconic Colognes of that time.. Crazy Rain , Hussar , Royal Chypre , Disco-Club . Beautiful memories. Hi @Suchel, Welcome to the Parfumo community. Out of curiosity, how did that diluting into a cologne work? You would need a formula or some sort to get the ratios right, I suppose. By the way, the perfumes you referred to are hard to find, but we do have some in our database. Feel free to write a review :) "Crazy Rain | Nóvaya Zaryá / Новая Заря" Hi Kurai, Thanks you! glad to be here., Sharing knowledge and memories is ideal. Well, I "we" did it with passion too, and to elaborate it is simple. Making cologne from those Bonabel essential oils didn't, and, does not require a laboratory ;-) We used empty bottles for the packaging., Eye dropper and ethanol., Cocoa and liquid Paraffin as vegetable oil base. the essential oil 'Bonabel' was mixes depending on the test tube. then, depending on the size of the bottle, we calculated the drops for the milliliters in action. Pleasant experience in a fun environment. Those Colognes that I've mentioned were popular at the time., They came from Eastern Europe. the Disco-Club cologne was Bulgarian one, and the Hussar was from Ukrainian SSR .
