... I suppose it's a hot take but I think fruity fragrances are unfairly judged. Sure there are "generic" smelling fruity fragrances and a lot of designer brands are well known for selling them, but the idea they are inferior for being "mass appealing" irritates me since that's the main category I wear. I live in a very hot climate so I don't want to wear spicy/heavy scents and I'm not an outdoorsy person so I don't like something that smells too much of vegetation even though I can appreciate smelling both on others. I also find a lot of people talk down about the "teenage girl market" and the "east Asian market" a lot when criticizing fruity fragrances which I think is a bit disparaging.

Fragrance I love is making me queasy

... This is so frustrating for me but I bought a full sized bottle of Orange Marmalade by Jo Malone which is a scent that I do love but I don't know what happened the other day I wore it and it ended up making me feel a bit queasy. I love the smell and honestly every time I smelt my wrist I thought it was delicious but it started making my head and stomach churn slightly. I only sprayed 3 sprays of this very light cologne but somehow it almost felt like it was too much. Traditionally I am sensitive to strong smells but I thought this would be different as a light cologne and I'm a little bit befuddled as to my body's response. The first time I wore this scent I thought the scent was quite faint. So I'm not sure why this time I wore it my body started reacting to it as if it was a beast mode scent. I'm putting it to the side for now and hoping my body forgets it doesn't like it, but it just really sucks since I genuinely love the smell.
