... I probably need to rediscover Incense because I just this year discovered that I absolutely love fragrances with that note in them. I bet my hepa air filters would ramp up to top speed if I started burning it around here as they do when I cook something too long in the kitchen.

... Hello everyone, I'm Tim(47) and live in Oregon working in the medical field from home. I live with my partner of five years and together we have two dogs, three cats and a dozen fish between a salt water and fresh water aquarium. I started collecting colognes as a hobby starting five years ago and have about a hundred bottles. I'm pacing myself at adding them so that I don't have my fridge open too much at one time. Nice to virtual meet you all!

... ysl la nuit de l'homme le parfum is the first fragrance I put effort into selecting. While deployed to Iraq I asked ten women to rate like ten paper strips that came from magazines and that was their favorite so I bought it although I didn't start collecting until a decade later.

... I'm so blessed and thankful I now work from home in Primary Care so I can wear whatever I like. When I did have to come into the office there was an unofficial rule that no scents were allowed as there were an army of Karens ready to complain if anyone violated these "rules". Heck they even complained that the air freshener in the bathroom was scented. They would rather smell 💩 apparently, lol. So again very thankful I'm working from home wearing fifteen sprays of Red Tobacco. 😉

How do you store/organise your fragrances

... I store my top 95% most expensive colognes in a fridge at 38-45 degrees and 50-55% humidity. I have about 100 colognes total and they would all fit in there but I don't mind taking my chances on some cheapies going bad. It's also a UV protected glass front fridge so I can view my collection without opening the door.

... I've made many colognes myself. If it was me I'd buy... Javanol® Super (Givaudan) which is the one ingredient it's made of aside from Perfumers Alcohol and make it myself. I'd make an EDP version with 15ml of Javanol® Super (Givaudan) assuming that is below a safe maximum concentration and mix with 85ml of Perfumers Alcohol. You can pick up 15ml of it for $30 at Perfumers Apprentice. Looks like max concentration is 2% so you could either buy less of it or have enough to make 7.5 bottles at maximum concentration.

I'm currently in the process of moving over and what spurred this was the ads were so bad that I thought I had malware installed on my phone so I actually got a antivirus and anti-malware program installed on my phone and thankfully I didn't have anything bad. The ads were just so bad they would redirect me from the website to in some cases malware like sites that would tell me to install a critical update. To top it off the administrators/moderators of the forum erased every single post I made about the issue on a dedicated thread devoted to talking about it. Then I discovered their politics which I was always suspicious of but didn't really look into until the whole ad thing and that just reinforced the fact I needed to make the switch. Update: Wow, either they saw my one star reviews or they deleted my account because I mentioned they were deleting my posts. Or saw my post here and decided to be little you know what's. Either way I guess they decided to ensure I wouldn't call them out anymore for covering up their malware type ads. Truly unbelievable, I've never had an account deleted without my permission before in my thirty years of using the Internet. I'm truly a bit shocked right now. Talk about ripping the bandaid off, lol.
