How can I avoid powder in men’s fragrances? For example Beau de Jour by TF is SO powdery but nothing really tells you that before purchase?
I’m just trying to avoid powder at all costs since it’s such a turn off. I’m not trying to offend otherwise.
Avoid the combination of the base sandalwood and Oak moss (usually with dry patchouli involved)
Oak moss is sweet powdery note. So is dry sandalwood, so is dry patchouli, and so is root of iris. All these notes smell like baby powder.

I think also lavender is involved in the feeling
