A polaroid of my childhood
I spent a part of my childhood in an old white & green house in Amos, Abitibi (Northwestern Québec) in the late 90s and early 2000s.
I remember how the long backyard ended with a fluffy bush of roses that perfumed the air during the dry summer. All the beautiful flowers my mother loved to care for.
The rhubarb that my sweet neighbour, a kind old lady, grew in hers and kindly allowed her granddaughter and me to pick. She spoke only english and I spoke only french but no words were needed to share the pleasure of coating the raw stalks in sugar and enjoy them together after playing for hours.
The smell coming out of my grandmother's makeup bag when she let me try her lipsticks for fun. She has a little spending problem so there were so many shades, I could spend hours putting them on and rubbing them off.
This perfume feels like a photo album of this era of my life and I can't wait to spend the summer with it!
