Top model with fragrance ambitions - unfortunately no long-term contract
I still remember as a child being excited about the GNTM final with Lena and now, years later, I'm feverish again. This time, however, not in front of the TV, but with my nose to my wrist, hoping: Have I found a quality Cheapy again?
Signature Eau de Parfum is Lena Gercke's first fragrance and my curiosity was piqued. I just like her: natural, down-to-earth, stylish. And the bottle? Top! Modern, clean and absolutely appealing - but the lid immediately looked familiar. Anyone who has taken a closer look at Giorgio Armani will recognize the almost identical, organic shape. Coincidence? Perhaps. But the resemblance is hard to miss.
The fragrance notes read like a skin cream: delicate almond in the top note - sweetish, slightly milky. Then heliotrope and gardenia in the heart - powdery, floral, with that typical creamy coziness. And in the base, musk and cedarwood - clean, soft, slightly woody, never overpowering. For me, however, the whole thing smells fruity... Like mango and almond cream with silk bed linen. Very cozy!
But then, the big catch: the fragrance is unfortunately so fleeting that sometimes I'm not even sure if I've ever really smelled it. Even with the right body lotion, it simply disappears after 45 minutes at the latest, at least on my skin. Sillage? Hardly at all. Longevity? A bad joke for an eau de parfum.
But I don't want to be too harsh - as long as I still have it, I spray it on every hour (my environment is happy if they notice it at all). But when the bottle is empty, it definitely won't be bought again.
I still think it's great that Lena has dared to take this step. The fragrance itself is not bad - linear, soft, pleasing - but simply too short-lived. A fragrance that starts off cute, but unfortunately doesn't last.
Conclusion: Top model, nice fragrance, but unfortunately no catwalk for the long haul.
Sorry, no photo for you today.
