The Farmacia Vaticana is a traditional pharmacy in Vatican City, founded in 1874. It was originally established as a medical supply center for the Pope and his cardinals.
Today, thanks to its extensive expertise, the Farmacia Vaticana is one of the most important pharmacies in the world and is also open to external visitors, particularly for the purchase of medicines that are not available in Italy.
A significant part of its activity is the production of its own cosmetics and personal care products in the monastery's own laboratory, which has a long tradition of galenic formulations. The range includes creams, ointments, cleansing products, and scented soaps to promote skin health.
The range is complemented by a series of perfumes, colognes, and aftershaves, which have been developed with skin-friendly ingredients and subtle fragrance compositions. Farmacia Vaticana products can only be purchased directly on site.
