Originally marketed as an all-natural tuberose composition with a touch of absinth - hence the 'narcotic' reference. Over time the formula has changed a couple of times. Now it is jasmin-ylang centered and enhanced with a soft ambroxan.

Now, 1000flowers is a small artisan boutique that boasts a handmade and botanical product line. So their choice to use ambroxan may raise a few eyebrows. Personally, I’m fine with modern fixatives as long as they don’t mess up the perfume’s aesthetics. (Off-topic: Did you know ambroxan is derived from clary sage essential oil?)

Anyway, as a result we now get a vibrant white floral, slightly indolic and sparkling with an occasional yellow and purple petal. Soft woody base. A delightful spring scent!
