The brand "1973" was previously unknown to me in the perfume sector. Some time ago, I stumbled upon Black Cherry Kisser while casually searching for a cherry scent, and thus discovered the mentioned brand. Unfortunately, there isn't really much information available about who is behind the brand. After taking a brief look at the individual fragrances from the brand, one can at least guess the thematic direction the scents are supposed to take. The Gourmand theme is at the forefront! Ultimately, I decided against testing Black Cherry Kisser and instead signed up for a sharing of "Sweet Coconut | 1973." Coconut is a fragrance note that I am always somewhat ambivalent about. Often, the note is too sweet and synthetic for my taste. On the other hand, I do quite like the note, especially in combination with citrus notes. But now to the scent: Sweet Coconut is for me a Bounty bar to spray on! A very sweet, chocolatey coconut note is at the center for me. You can almost feel the scent on your palate. The fragrance does not change but remains very linear. The theme is thus very well executed. I find the longevity and sillage on my skin to be very good, and the scent should be applied in moderation. Upon first application, I really liked the scent, but after about 30 minutes, the very sweet, sticky coconut note became too much and too overpowering for me. Overall, the fragrance is certainly not poorly designed, but in my eyes, it is not really wearable. In terms of price, we are looking at 119 euros for 30ml, which is about 4 euros/ml, placing it in the higher price segment.
