Olfactory confusion in a positive sense

I'm confused and I'm really confused. Either someone mislabeled/filled my sample set when filling it or Haut really wants to screw me!

I'm happily testing my way through the sample set today, roughly screening the fragrances in advance and sorting them into "promising", "neutral" and "probably not my cup of tea because vanilla/sweet". N.4 Pesca e Neroli ended up in the last category because both "sweet+fruity" and the threatened combination of strawberry/peach/popcorn *creepy* and even more peach don't appeal to me at all. The vanilla fragrances also disqualified themselves one after the other, leaving the peach bomb to be tested. The comments here confirm the plush plum all along the line.

So let's get to the bacon, er peach. Carefully on your hand so that you can wash it off if necessary. Prepare yourself mentally for the sugar hit. And then, what's that? I suddenly have Nomade Eau de Toilette on my skin? Where did that come from? The two have NOTHING, but really NOTHING, officially in common.

Now I want to know. Off to the wardrobe and Nomade to the other side and after 5 minutes, I hobbled over to my husband and held my limbs under his long-suffering nose. Slight confusion on the male side and the revealing comment "the one on the left smells more like leather (editor's note: Nomade, smells extremely like leather on me) and is somewhat stronger". So fragrance twin quasi confirmed.

Not quite trusting the whole thing, I waited a little longer, but everything remains in the green or, in this case, rather white-musky-suede-creamy range. No shift into sweetness, no hidden footnotes. I am thrilled. I almost only wear Nomade in winter, as it quickly becomes too sultry for me at 2°C. AdG is a little lighter on its feet and therefore has the potential to be worn at temperatures above 10°C.

My real dilemma now is the fact that I have to somehow verify my tester. Because the last thing my battered bank account needs at the moment is a blind buyload of sweet peaches (oh, Neroli hasn't been spotted either...)
