Olfactory Confusion in a Positive Sense
I am confused, and I mean really confused. Either someone mislabeled/filled my sample set or my skin is playing tricks on me!
Today, I’m happily testing through the sample set, having roughly screened the scents beforehand and sorted them into "promising," "neutral," and "probably not my thing because of vanilla/sweet." N.4 Pesca e Neroli ended up in the last category because both "sweet+fruity" and the hinted combination of strawberry/peach/popcorn *creepy* and even more peach do not appeal to me at all. The vanilla scents also disqualified themselves one after the other, so the peach bomb was left to test. The comments here confirm the plushiness across the board.
So, let’s get to it, uh, peach. Carefully on the hand, so I can wash it off easily if needed. Mentally preparing for the sugar club. And then, what is this? I suddenly have Nomade Eau de Toilette on my skin? Where did that come from? The two have NOTHING in common officially.
Now I want to know. Off to the cabinet and put Nomade on the other side and after 5 minutes, I waddled over to my husband and held my limbs under his long-suffering nose. Slight confusion on the male side and the revealing comment "the left smells more like leather (editor's note: Nomade smells extremely leathery on me) and is a bit stronger." So, fragrance twin confirmed, basically.
Not fully trusting this yet, I waited a little longer, nope, everything stays in the green or, in this case, rather white-musk-suede-creamy area. I almost only wear Nomade in winter, as it becomes too cloying for me at 2°C, while AdG is a bit lighter on its feet and thus has the potential to be worn even above 10°C.
