Colonia Essenza Acqua di Parma 2010 Eau de Cologne

This is a classic citrus / white floral cologne, leaning slightly into its heavier aromatic and sweet side. The citruses smell full and sweet but also sour and fresh. The fragrance does smell soapy if you pay attention to this aspect, although it is masked by the aromatic side which hits you first. Among the perfumes I know, it's the most similar to 4711 Original Eau de Cologne. The main difference is longevity, while 4711 has none, Essenza is OK in this department. Overall, the scent is pretty dry, yet pleasant in a straightforward way. It's a little sharp, a little bitter - the opposite of playful, rather serious.
