Quercia - The Oak
The venerable gnarled oak. It has stood for centuries on the sunlit hill in the summer-glimmering mixed forest. It has seen much over the years, and time has marked it. Deep grooves in the firm bark, hollowed out by other creatures. Yet the strong branches are widely branched, and the root system leans deep into the earth.
Its resilience has made it what it is today. Mystical and mysterious, it is regarded as the king of the forests. Since time immemorial, it has been attributed to the highest deities, embodying strength, power, and permanence in full bloom.
Many legendary stories surround its form, and its heroic appearance has always drawn people into the forest!
The oak symbolizes a strong and self-sufficient anchor of tranquility...
***********
Quercia also embodies for me a beautiful anchor of tranquility. A fragrance that carries the name of such a stately tree means something. However, Quercia is certainly not to be equated with a classic forest scent. Not at all! Nevertheless, upon closer examination, I can indeed draw an olfactory bridge to the oak...
The fresh and citrusy welcome reveals a harmonious presence. The opening is authentic, just like an oak. Hardly have I made myself comfortable under the tree crown, when this wonderful, softly spicy veil of Quercia joins in. It gives the fragrance lasting space and the necessary depth. The wood of the tree is alive, it breathes, which is expressed through the excellently balanced bitter, slightly angular woodiness. Paired with a moderate sweetness, the impression of a tree in full bloom emerges. Surely, the tonka bean and cardamom play a few notes here.
The ancient trunk is covered with oak moss, which gives the fragrance this very special and magical aura. Oak moss always breathes a subtle and unassuming magic into fragrances, thus awakening the green spirit of the forest...
Thus, the fragrance is capable of creating a cohesive olfactory panorama through individual aromas in a light-footed and elegant manner. At no point does it come across as artificial or intrusive. The longevity and sillage are appropriate; for several hours, the fragrance is a pleasant companion in almost all situations. Uncomplicated, pleasing, yet unique and special!
Shinrin-yoku stands for the Japanese "art" or therapy of "forest bathing." Staying under large old trees or spending time in forests leads, according to these considerations, to greater well-being and strengthening of the immune system!
In this respect, this would be a perfect occasion to enjoy Quercia and relax under an old oak.
Voilá - the connection between scent and tree would thus be established.

It skillfully brings the scent closer to us. And of course, the magic and healing power of the forest. Many of us love to hang out there, me too.
I love being in the forest, and it has a positive effect on me in every way! Your oak would be something special for me too, and I'm sure this beautifully described scent is as well. Maybe I'll get to know it now, and it will become a friend to me, just like the forest!
Here's to plenty of time in the woods and fields in 2021!
For me, it's one of the best scents out there.
