I don't feel offended.

At this point, there's no need to elaborate extensively and can simply list the points that speak for "Citrus Cedro": The scent is without mystery, but pleasantly does not pretend to have one. A grapefruit-like opening with fresh cedar, lightly peppered, but not over-seasoned. My olfactorily overwhelmed nose appreciates such dual-note fragrances at first. Bonus points. The scent progression essentially swaps the proportions of top and base notes, becoming a bit woodier, although the longevity, as is fitting for an agua fresca, is not substantial. In contrast to many designer "freshies," there is no dominant ozone-aquatic note here. This means: One feels at all times (especially in the drydown) that it is a contemporary scent, but without a classic enthusiast like myself feeling bothered. The lady of the house even had a delicate incense association. This fresh scent for the last warm summer weeks can be found, according to a quick online search, for well under 20€/60ml. So it's definitely worth it. Another half bonus point.
This is not a hymn of praise: The scent is (in a good way) highly average (so actually, without bonus points: 5 points), which is why I would still advise anyone interested in a summer refreshment to first check out the "Acqua Colonia" range from 4711 or also Farina across the street. This inexpensive freshness theme has been solved more interestingly for 300 years.

Thanks to the lovely Azahar for the sample (according to her fragrance review, she surely does not miss the scent...).
