Beautiful play of coolness and warmth, closeness and distance, extroverted and reserved. Lasts a long time but never feels intrusive. You have to like clove, along with powdery cardamom, while the saffron remains very soft, and the resinous base supports it. The rose is a present yet subtle hint. (The name refers not to cloves but to the rose variety Rosa indica caryophyllea, cultivated by the botanist and flower illustrator Pierre Joseph Redouté. Caryophyllaceae are the clove family, so it's about a clove-like rose.)

totally set 😩
The bottle is a poem. (I have the old Copal Azur.)
I don't know it, but it sounds intriguing. But noted.
Could possibly be polarizing with "racy" clove.
Dark violet sounds nice.
