I ordered the Afnan Supremacy Discovery Set to finally form a reasonable opinion about the brew.
Many say it’s Aventus Absolu, but as a fruitier, younger alternative. I think it has less to do with Creed, as the twist is too far off. It leans more towards “guy at the gym who has finally said goodbye to Axe.” The spice that makes Aventus interesting is overshadowed by sweetness, and that kills it for me. The scent stands more on its own, but it’s somehow lacking in humor. Yes, it smells very good, but it doesn’t blow me away. It transports me to where I currently am. But that’s okay.
If you’re looking for a dupe, it’s better to go for Not Only Intense (9/10). However, if you’re looking for a very good all-rounder, especially for the price, Absolu ;-) is the right address.
Save your money on Supremacy in Heaven; it reminds me of some blue deodorant "for men." Like an old coworker who still tries to mask his body odor with deodorant instead of showering.
Supremacy Silver smells a bit lighter and less sweet than NOI, making it more sophisticated. Definitely the cleanest and best in the series. I'm unsure about the longevity.
Not Only Intense is one I can only recommend. Longevity and projection are really good and not too overpowering. Still a bit too sweet for me compared to Silver.
Supremacy in Oud isn't a heavy oud but rather nice and calm. I think I even detected a hint of floral notes. Really a lovely, pleasant scent.
Conclusion:
Skip Heaven; you can top that with any deodorant. Silver smells the best. Not Only Intense is a bit sweeter than Silver and might last longer.
Oud is certainly a good choice for beginners in such fragrances.
