The best among all Aventus variations

Continuing with the effort of saying a few words about my most worn fragrances of 2024... and this was number 1, despite the late release.

Yes, this is another interpretation of the Aventus DNA but different enough to be its own thing - also (quite) different from SNOI, for those asking the question. On the other hand, I can't see much similarities to Aventus Absolu.
Currently, this is the Aventus "variation" that I like the most also including all the OGs... so, another hit by Afnan in my opinion.

The easiest way to describe it is: take the OG Aventus, remove the smokiness and add a fresh apple note (very similar to what you'd smell in Y EdP).

All in all, this is a fresh and modernised rendition of a classic, with great versatility in terms of occasions and seasons. Wear it when you're in jeans and t-shirt or at the office.
Good performance (8-10 hours) and decent projection for the first couple of hours.
Also not something that I often comment about, but the bottle is really cool!

Didn’t get it… until I did

Review: Supremacy Collector's Edition – AFNAN I’m not a fragrance expert — I’m just a regular guy who enjoys trying new scents. I don’t know much about notes. I just say what I like and what I don’t.

First Impressions & Presentation
I haven’t tried Aventus Absolu, so I won’t be making any comparisons. This review is just about Supremacy Collector’s Edition on its own.
The first thing that surprised me was the presentation. For the price, the box looks really nice — elegant, well-designed, and with good materials. It gives you a good impression right away.

Scent & Development
I really liked the opening. It’s sweet and fruity, with a strong pineapple note in the first few minutes. It smells fresh and very enjoyable. Then you start to notice the green apple, bergamot, and a light floral vibe, which adds a nice fresh and slightly citrusy touch. If you like fruity-sweet openings, I think you’ll enjoy this one a lot.

After about 15 to 20 minutes, the scent starts to change. It becomes more floral and ambery. Then after around 30 minutes, it gets into the dry down (base notes), which is very different from the opening. That’s when the mossy and musky side kicks in. At first, I didn’t like it at all — I think it was the oakmoss — it felt too strong for me and I didn’t really get it. But after wearing it for a few days, I started to enjoy that part more. It smells more serious and deeper.

Recommendation
I wouldn’t recommend this as a blind buy, especially if you’re not familiar with musky, mossy, or ambery notes. If you don’t know what those smell like, it could catch you off guard. But if you’re just getting into fragrances and want to start training your nose, this could be a cool one to learn with. Personally, I didn’t like the dry down (base notes) at first, but after using it a few more times, I ended up liking it more.
And if you already bought it and didn’t like it the first time, don’t give up on it. Give it another try, wear it a couple more times. You might change your mind — that’s what happened to me.

Performance
I used 8 sprays and got around 12 hours of longevity on skin, which I think is really solid. It had good projection in the first few hours, although I was a bit congested, so I’m not 100% sure how strong it was.

Occasion & Price
To me, this is a very versatile fragrance. You can wear it for pretty much any occasion, but I think it works especially well in warm weather or summer. Even in the heat, it smells elegant, which is a nice bonus.
I paid $37 on Amazon, and for what it gives you, I think it’s a great deal.

Fresher Absolu Aventus

Opening is definitely identical but it fades away quick to fresher version of Absolu Aventus.
Absolu Aventus has a more darker green and intense dry down, compared to Supremacy CE.
I think Supremacy CE is more wearable in Summer and fresher because of Ambergris and more clean Moss.
Price and Scent wise, I'd definitely go with Supremacy CE.
Im not sure if I could easily say if it's blind buy worthy, but if you like fruity and mossy perfumes, go for it. If you've tried Absolu Aventus, Supremacy CE is slightly fresher and more wearable.

too sweet, straights beware

too sweet for my liking. the opening is way better than the dry down. the dry down is very feminine i cannot stand it. this is the type of fragrances that you would love to smell in the air and on other people but would not wear yourself. when i smelled it in the shop i really liked its opening over supremacy not only intense, but as the top notes evaporated i was left with a sweet, cloying, feminine scent. not only intense is way manly than this.

I wanted to hate this...

At my core, even if I don't like to admit it, I am a contrarian. If something is really popular and I didn't like it beforehand, chances are that I won't give it a fair try. That's how it went with Aventus-style fragrances: It's this massive thing - a construct that rose above the original perfume. And that drove me away. And my first review of this was HARSH. I had negative connotations with this scent profile and it took me a moment to let go of this view of mine.
So, here we are. And this perfume? Supremacy Collector's Edition ? It's stellar. It's really really good. Here's why:
Lovely pinepalle opening. It feels really fresh and crisp, but not in a sharp way. That pineapple opening lasts up to 1 hour, then the mossy tones take over.
People say that this perfume has floral notes, but I'm not really getting those on my skin. On me, it's a fruity opening, followed by one of the nicest drydowns of any of my perfumes.
The mossy magic that Afnan put in this bottle is amazing: Once the fruits pass, you're left with a deep mossy scent. On me, especially when it's hot, it also turns a little salty and that combination makes it so so good.
I already liked Supremacy Incense , but Afnan really outdid themselves with Supremacy Collector's Edition . If you like Explorer but you wish that it had more of a punch, get this. To me, it's the best Aventus style fragrance that I've tried so far. And if someone were to ask me what I'm wearing, I won't replay with "oh, it's kinda like Aventus", nono, I will say "oh yeah that's Supremacy Collectors' by Afnan".
