Supremacy Collector's Edition Afnan Perfumes 2024

Continuing with the effort of saying a few words about my most worn fragrances of 2024... and this was number 1, despite the late release.

Yes, this is another interpretation of the Aventus DNA but different enough to be its own thing - also (quite) different from SNOI, for those asking the question. On the other hand, I can't see much similarities to Aventus Absolu.
Currently, this is the Aventus "variation" that I like the most also including all the OGs... so, another hit by Afnan in my opinion.

The easiest way to describe it is: take the OG Aventus, remove the smokiness and add a fresh apple note (very similar to what you'd smell in Y EdP).

All in all, this is a fresh and modernised rendition of a classic, with great versatility in terms of occasions and seasons. Wear it when you're in jeans and t-shirt or at the office.
Good performance (8-10 hours) and decent projection for the first couple of hours.
Also not something that I often comment about, but the bottle is really cool!

At my core, even if I don't like to admit it, I am a contrarian. If something is really popular and I didn't like it beforehand, chances are that I won't give it a fair try. That's how it went with Aventus-style fragrances: It's this massive thing - a construct that rose above the original perfume. And that drove me away. And my first review of this was HARSH. I had negative connotations with this scent profile and it took me a moment to let go of this view of mine.
So, here we are. And this perfume? Supremacy Collector's Edition ? It's stellar. It's really really good. Here's why:
Lovely pinepalle opening. It feels really fresh and crisp, but not in a sharp way. That pineapple opening lasts up to 1 hour, then the mossy tones take over.
People say that this perfume has floral notes, but I'm not really getting those on my skin. On me, it's a fruity opening, followed by one of the nicest drydowns of any of my perfumes.
The mossy magic that Afnan put in this bottle is amazing: Once the fruits pass, you're left with a deep mossy scent. On me, especially when it's hot, it also turns a little salty and that combination makes it so so good.
I already liked Supremacy Incense , but Afnan really outdid themselves with Supremacy Collector's Edition . If you like Explorer but you wish that it had more of a punch, get this. To me, it's the best Aventus style fragrance that I've tried so far. And if someone were to ask me what I'm wearing, I won't reply with "oh, it's kinda like Aventus", nono, I will say "oh yeah that's Supremacy Collectors' by Afnan".

I fell for the hype. Maybe I didn’t, I don’t know. I’m just not an aventus profile fanboy like most. I got this because of its price, the hype behind influencers and because I had a place opened for an aventus like scent. I don’t see the need to get multiple scents within this profile so I wanted 1 that did it all. This is that. It’s smoky, sweet, woody, fruity pineapple with a blast of jasmine. It’s good, it’s nice just not for me. It’s not a supreme scent that makes me feel like “Wow, I need to reach for this again!” It doesn’t do that for me. If you’re not in love with the aventus profile then this isn’t going to do it for you. It’s really strong though and lasts a long time. People have told me they smelled me way before they saw me so be very careful with sprays, scents should be discovered not in everyone’s face like “HEY LOOK AT ME”. Supremacy collectors edition adds extra jasmine and oak moss to it which make this thing push. It’s aventus, it’s fresh, it’s sweet, it’s Smokey, it’s good, just not for me.

Before I get into the review I want to clarify: I have only smelled Absolu Aventus once, so I am not able to do a direct comparison. I do, however have regular Aventus and will use that as my comparison.

Bottle - (9/10) I love the way this bottle looks. The circle cap is the only part I’m not crazy about , but otherwise the grey with darker splatter makes it look like concrete. The black badge is also slick. This is definitely my favorite bottle design in the Afnan - Supremacy line.

Scent - (9.5/10) this stuff is beautiful. It has the pineapple and woodsy notes of Aventus off the top but it smells different underneath that. While Creed goes into a more mossy/musky/spicy smell in the dry down, Supremacy: CE goes smokier and oddly enough feels more refined while still being bold and strong. As a comparison, Aventus is like the bouncer at a dive bar and Supremacy is the suit wearing security at a fancy casino. Both are strong as hell, but Supremacy exerts its force in a slightly classier way.

Performance - (9/10) this is loud and lingers. It’ll be on clothing for days after. It is honestly a bit too strong for my taste, but fortunately it smells good enough to make it alright.

I really like this fragrance, I see why it’s gotten the hype it has. I don’t even think of it as a dupe in my collection, it stands well enough on its own while also being shockingly affordable. It has my highest recommendation.

Like most frag enjoyers, I agree the aventus DNA has been done to death and we truly don't need anymore lol. But there's a reason it's so popular. I've tried the OG, almost all the clones and inspired by's and supremacy collectors edition, for me, is the best to do it by far. 9pm rebel is one honorable mention I'd also recommend as it somewhat does it's own thing but for me Supremacy CE is the overall winner.

It hits all the points you'd want out of this DNA:
- Pineapple is prominent, juicy, realistic and it also lasts throughout the life of the scent.
- Performance in general is amazing. When I first tested it I sprayed it twice on my hand and it survived multiple hand washings and even a shower later that night, lasting into the next morning.
- The opening doesn't have that intense harshness like the 100 CDNI flankers have either. You get immediate juicy pineapple with that beautiful birchy wood that to me gives like a modern gentleman vibe.

Overall it's just a fantastic fragrance, clone or not. 9.2/10 for me.
