Helpful Review
Like a jump into the cool pool.
After frequently using Parfumo to make a purchase decision, get inspired, or browse through the many beautiful reviews, I now dare to submit my first review. Since my nose is by no means trained enough to provide a "professional" overview of fragrances, I will try to paint a complete picture.
I bought Turathi Blue as a blind buy because the price was good and the reviews sounded promising. Additionally, I enjoy fresh scents.
The packaging is convincing, especially when considering the price. The bottle also feels high-quality, which I think is partly due to its weight. There is one downside: the bottle doesn't stand as "securely" as it could have - but well.
I expected a scent that I already know, something citrusy, something fresh. So I sprayed the fragrance for the first time. I have and know scents that I find "refreshing," but the "freshness" that hit me here is on a new level. A level of freshness that I had not experienced before. A freshness that can quickly become overwhelming if over-applied. While other fragrances have at most reached a level that might remind one of childhood, when battles were fought with various water guns - here, it hits you like a jet of water from a fire hose. This direct, very present, and dominant freshness works well with 1-2 sprays, but with too much, especially in combination with the citrusy notes, it becomes too much for me personally and then feels artificial. With fewer sprays, I don't experience this artificiality at all; the scent then feels almost natural and very refreshing. Alongside the fresh-citrusy direction, a woody spiciness gradually joins in, which is also very pleasant.
Especially since I initially have this water battle or "jump into the cool pool of the public swimming pool" association in my mind, the scent exudes a certain lightness and cheerful carefreeness for me.
The fragrance is perfect for summer, and I am glad I bought it. For such a fresh scent, it lasts long and well on me. The sillage is also not to be underestimated and certainly doesn't need to hide. Moreover, the scent is well-received, both by women and men. There have already been several compliments, even from people who have never commented on a fragrance before or who are not particularly interested in scents.
At a price of around €30, it is definitely recommendable; even if someone doesn't like the scent, it should be relatively easy to find a new owner.
