I have seen evil.
It was green and wore a pointed hat adorned with pine needles.
In its hand, it held a bouquet of clary sage and hopped on one leg.
At some point, when I had regained my composure, it disappeared into a musty cellar vault, in whose farthest corner a basilisk had urinated.
I thought to myself, I better head off in the other direction.

And if I haven't died, I'm still scrubbing to this day.

The stuff was called Latschenkiefer Bad, it was great for congestion in the upper airways, coughs, rheumatism, and if you poured it in the closet, the moths would run away.

Wonderful - and for me, quite relatable. In the GDR, there was a bubble bath with pine needles that I associate with unpleasant memories. Even kids' pee couldn't seriously ruin that...
