Just A Drop of Natural Smelling Herbal Green Oil
This was very natural and struck me as a bright fresh green mixture of essential oils of pine and Clary Sage. I had the immediate mental association with Badedas Bubble Bath or an equivalent we have here in the US the original Spring Green Vitabath Gelee. If you're interested in the organic, homemade oil essence lines, this is worth trying. Another option would be buying a 3 dollar bottle of pine oil or balsam fir oil and a 3 dollar bottle of clary Sage and dabbing a few drops on yourself for the exact same result. Trèvert is not a full fledged fragrance in the traditional scent, it's a body essence and while the initial burst of fresh green notes was pleasant, this disappears right into the scent within an hour, like any good body oil with a couple of drops of essential oils would do. It doesn't last very long on me, I think I could make a facsimile of this at home today, the bottle/ labeling is unremarkable and it doesn't dazzle or challenge my olfactory bulbs enough to warrant further discussion. That is the end of the story.

Animalistic Green
After I tortured poor Hermi today with no ill intent, I out of compassion applied the green horror - and I still find it quite pleasant :-)
The herb that divides opinions (and noses) here is probably the quite dominant clary sage in Trèvert. A pretty perennial that works well as a solitary plant in the garden, but emits an intense and for many (not all!) people a very unpleasant animalistic scent. The descriptions while sniffing my plants ranged from "horse sweat" to "train station restroom." In the ethereal clary sage oil or absolute, these "animalistic," amber-like notes are not nearly as pronounced as when smelling fresh plants, but still quite perceptible and require some getting used to.
I really like clary sage and would love to detect it more often in perfumes. Trèvert is essentially a solitary clary sage scent - pleasing for me, but probably a real imposition for those who associate this smell with sweat, urine, and similarly repulsive things.

I perceive Trèvert as quite one-dimensional lemony-herbaceous-green and somewhat boring, but it is not as simple as the three notes mentioned above (Source: Aftelier page):
Top note: Fir, tarragon
Heart note: Tuberose, clary sage
Base: Pine absolute, sweet grass

The fir is only barely perceptible to me - so no comparison with fir balsam bubble bath. The anise-like, herb-sweet tarragon note is prominent and quickly transitions into the lemony-herbaceous clary sage note. I can hardly find the tuberose at all. Unfortunately, because a heavy, animalistic-floral note would have suited my perception very well and made the scent appear much less monotonously green. As it stands, Trèvert remains grassy green, herbaceous, a bit sweet hay-like from the sweet grass, a little lemony, and is for my taste very subtle and fleeting. Nothing I would urgently repurchase, but (for me with my weakness for pronounced clary sage notes) a nice light green summer fragrance.

Très vert
I have seen evil.
It was green and wore a pointed hat adorned with pine needles.
In its hand, it held a bouquet of clary sage and hopped on one leg.
At some point, when I had regained my composure, it disappeared into a musty cellar vault, in whose farthest corner a basilisk had urinated.
I thought to myself, I better head off in the other direction.
Thank you, dear Igraine, for this brilliant fragrance experience.
And if I haven't died, I'm still scrubbing to this day.

The little green forest goblin!
Thank you, Igraine, for the sample.

Trevert scares me. Maybe Rumpelstiltskin will take my children. This goblin first slaps a fir branch on your skin and in your nose. The latter was immediately clear, I’m still a bit stuffy, but I could breathe again right away. But it pulled all the way back to my cerebellum, which was still trying to convince my cerebrum and nose that there are carrots in Hiri's.
I like tarragon and also sage. Chicken in tarragon sauce or lamb with sage, delicious. But I don’t want to smell like sheep or chicken in a herb coat. Yet this goblin beats me with that through the forest. And I couldn’t care less if there’s tuberose in there. Let him go get Snow White and Rose Red.
But I have an idea. For annual flu vaccinations, Trevert should be given out for free.

Fortunately, it has a terrible longevity, so I didn’t even have to scrub much.

Vase, or Golem?
Well, I'm not afraid that quickly! But! Either there's something wrong with my nose, or my skin doesn't reflect this scent the way it was intended!

The only thing that is green about this fragrance is the liquid in the spray bottle in my hand. If I had to assign a color to the scent, it would be more like clay colors, or a light ochre.

This fragrance has a peculiar development. It starts with a scent of dried kitchen herbs and then takes its olfactory path towards damp, clay-like earth. I have the impression that if I just turn around quickly enough, I could be shaped into a vase. Or I might mutate into a Golem (a human-like clay figure from a Jewish legend).

Somehow this composition has something to it, but I wouldn't wear it.
