La vie est jolie

After reading good comments in other forums about Fatale, I’m now taking the plunge here in my favorite forum.
Fatale is said to be a dupe for La Vie est Belle - a perfume that I truly appreciate despite having many fans and just as many detractors.
And what can I say to you fellow perfume enthusiasts?
It’s true, Fatale smells very, very similar and also boasts quite good longevity.
The top note, however, starts off a bit less sweet in my opinion, so perhaps it’s a work-appropriate version....
I find it fruitier at the beginning; maybe the pink pepper adds its touch....
When comparing the notes, quite a bit has been copied (or coincidentally mixed in?????)....
The blackcurrant is quite prominent in both - hmm... it’s delicious!
Praline in the base of LVEB and chocolate in Fatale.
Conclusion: If you wait about three hours, you can hardly distinguish between the two perfumes - however, La Vie est Belle remains my favorite, as I find the top note extremely important and don’t always want to wait.... Fatale is a good scent for gourmand lovers who still need to watch their budget, definitely a thumbs up!!!!
P.S. I really can’t understand why SI is also listed here as a scent twin of LVeB; Fatale is much closer!!!

Yes, I'm glad to hear that! I'm also addicted to blind buys, and I wasn't disappointed at all when Fatale arrived today... Best wishes from snowy Switzerland (well, it looks the same in Germany right now too...)

I'm glad your comment wasn't there when I ordered the fragrance blind. Otherwise, I wouldn't have done it, and that would have been a real shame. I can't stand LVEB on myself (it unfortunately smells overwhelmingly sweet on me). I do like Fatale!
