Dirty that is clean
Do you know that patchouli that is dark, yet light? Dirty, yet clean? That patchouli is the king in Gardenia. In order of prominence, the notes I smell are: leather, patchouli, saffron, oud, oakmoss and florals.
This perfume is quite difficult to comprehend, it is definitely not for anyone who does not appreciate oud. But make no mistake to blind buy it even if you enjoy oud, as this is not a sweet oud. It's not faecal either. But it is strong, and present. No, this fragrance is more about a unisex combination of a strong leather, dry patchouli, clinical saffron and green oakmoss, than it is about the oud.
All I can say is that it is very niche! I blind bought it and whilst I don't regret it for a minute, I can't advise anyone to do the same. If you're into sweet and floral fragrances, please test this before you buy it.
