Sensuous Nude Brings The Beach Home
Yes, yes and more yes. Ahhhh….absolutely delicious. Heaven, pure heaven. The next morning a hint of this perfume still remains. How fabulous is that?
The initial blast of honeyed milk served in a coconut shell with spices on top is extreme and brings its’ wearer to heights of delicious anticipation. Images of sitting in a tropical palm-covered hut-I can hear seagulls screeching overhead and the sun is delectably warm. The sea is crashing behind me, the sky is blue overhead with minimal clouds on the horizon. And the barkeep? Let’s just say that’s my fantasy…and Sensuous Nude takes you there.
This perfume delivers a sweet musk brilliantly tempered by amber sitting in a coconut shell. If golden bronze had a color, this would be it. Lauder chose the color for the bottle correctly. Close your eyes when you spray, because that’s what you see.
It can be minus 6 degrees outside with gusty winds, snow blowing around the corners of the house when I spray this perfume and my mind will still create images of that beautiful beach. It still takes me there to blue skies, warm sands under my toes and the ocean waves not far away. It’s that delicious.
A nuance of top peppery notes add just the right amount of spiciness to this brew without overloading it. Bergamot adds the freshness, zing and pop in the initial blast that gives Sensuous Nude its exciting wow factor in the beginning that calms down with the honeyed milk. The sandalwood comes across more as a dried hay or dried palms, similar to the tops of little beach huts.
This perfume radiates very well and lasts for hours upon hours.

A soothing skin-scent
This is yet another winner in terms of Sensuous flankers. Sensuous Nude is a deliciously honeyed and musky skin-scent, that surprisingly works well for most occasions and seasons.

The woods are of course front row centre in this fragrance, just like the original Sensuous, however they are much less pronounced. This is a delicate fragrance, on the verge of creamy sweetness yet nicely balanced.

Honey was the first note I detected in this composition, as it provided an interesting sugary accord which further complimented the musky woods and subtle citrus notes in the opening.

Vanilla and coconut, while not dominant ingredients in this blend, introduce themselves during the heart of this composition in a creamy and feminine way. I find the overall feeling quite soothing and inoffensive.

It's a touch powdery towards the drydown, which for me, adds to its appeal. I find its lightness refreshing and pleasing on my skin. While the scent does last considerably well, the muskiness does tend to make this fragrance settle so naturally on the skin that sometimes it is hard to detect.

Sensuous Nude is nothing out of the ordinary, but for what it's worth I am highly impressed. It's actually just that little bit sexy in the way that it envelops you in a cloud of comfortable warmth and softness.

Low-key
"Nude" in the sense of unobtrusive, not in the sense of "erotic". A fairly pleasant, woody-musky, very honeyed affaire, which is far too sweet for my taste. On the other hand, a discreet fragrance for women who want a warm, slightly powdery scent which does not overpower or dominate. Estee Lauder does "low-key", but not in an interesting way.

Quite Nice!
I really don't care for the top, which is a bit heavy on the LOV & jasmine for my taste. But that quickly passes and the drydown is lovely - not too floral, just a bit sweet. It's summery amber woods.

Overall, Sensuous Nude is a skin scent with just a bit of presence, like warmed summer skin. It's a very comfortable fragrance and would make a nice office-friendly alternative. Also, it's highly wearable in summer.

I have sampled the edp, and I own the lotion ("body veil"). The lotion has a bit more presence than the edp to me, and I clearly detect pepper in the lotion, which is barely there in the edp.

Highly recommend sampling this one! I own Sensuous & Sensuous Noir. Although Sensuous Nude is a bit subdued for my style, I could be persuaded to pick the edp at the right price.

Is it just my imagination...
...that all the fragrances I test in perfumeries or perfume departments of department stores smell much more luxurious than those from drugstores?
Is it because they are more expensive?
Is it their bottles that are designed more elegantly or elaborately?
Do the brand names dazzle like shiny gold?
Or is it simply that they actually smell more refined?
I don't know, but what I do know is that "Sensuous Nude" smells exquisitely elegant and wonderful.
Citrus notes are never a disturbance; from the very beginning, it has a spicy sweetness of peppery sandalwood, lily of the valley, and honey.
Later, vanilla clearly comes into play, along with a small, delicate hint of coconut.
In the end, a few truly delicious wood notes join in, but one question remains unanswered. Are they poking fun at us with the scent note "melted woods"? Or have I missed something?

Honeyed coconut milk. Not too sweet, not too bold. Also not very exciting.

The name says it all. Sensual and bare! Effortless, natural femininity. Warm, delicate skin is kissed. Sun and a hint of coconut.

Successful combination of coconut and sandalwood. Soft, subtle, and close to the skin. Despite the coconut note, it feels neither cheap nor girly.

The coconut smells too cheap for the price and the pepper doesn't harmonize.
