Yes, it´s Dubai!
Who doesn't get...? When you are on holiday, as a perfumer you always want to get to know the countries through your nose and scents.
My first visit to the Dubai Mall started with "sniffing out" where this fragrance came from? Where does this fragrance come from now and why does it smell so pleasantly good? Let's go into a fragrance oasis and ask nicely. But not in the Amouage- Roja- or other well known stores (Unbelievable what you can find there), but first in the so called "Souk". Then I was told that in the Dubai Mall the guests are sprinkled with 3 different fragrances from the ventilation system. All three in the base very similar, but still different...
One of them is this one. Don't get me wrong, unfortunately not 100% but very very very close.
If you ask there for the Dubai Mall fragrance, this one will be brought out immediately.
In the beginning the fragrance starts floral and gently smoky, but at the same time spicy. The gentle one in the smoky one is probably ignited by the amber or held back thereby. Qualitative Oud is of course omnipresent. But please don't ask now what qualitative oud is, I can only describe it as being different from other oud scents for me. Later it becomes then a spicy composition whose fragrances one can hardly keep apart (my nose at least), but really very beautiful
Personally, I would rather define or locate the fragrance between men's perfume and unisex.
When I wear this scent on me, I immediately indulge in my memory of the beautiful holiday in Dubai.
