A gift from the patisserie wrapped with baby pink silk ribbons
I think Akro nailed it with both the name of the fragrance and the color that they chose. Smelling this makes me think of a pretty girl who bakes--she's sweet, light-hearted, fun.
On the opening I smell quite a lot of rose, to the point where it almost eclipses the other notes. But pretty soon the scent becomes more balanced with gourmand almond, praline, and vanilla. I get a little bit of lychee but it's a much more powdery scent than a juicy one.
When I say "powdery" here, I have to think of almond flour. It's dry but it's still rich and has body. It's not a cosmetic powderiness, more of a powdered sugar and almond flour being gently sifted type of powder.
Wearing this the whole day, I felt charming, youthful, and kind of romantic. That felt pretty great and I look forward to using up the rest of my decant!
Opinions from some of my friends:
Friend A: It's beautifully sweet but not too sweet, and it smells expensive.
Friend B: It's too powdery and sweet, it's missing spice that would make it interesting.
