Perhaps it’s a split up…

Lately, I have been positively surprised and impressed by a to me unknown Arabian brand. I met Afnan Pure Musk and was blown away by its volume and performance. Amazing. Therefore I did not blink before buying Al Haramain’s Rawaa from a fellow perfumaniac. The bottle is so pretty and I automatically assumed that the juice inside would be of same high quality as Afnan.
I am still not convinced, though.
I have tried it several times now and I really like the beginning. Especially sniffing the bottle before spraying. But I suppose something strange happens when it meets my skin. The many lovely notes disappear after a few minutes and the scent becomes a strong vanilla, not bad, but a bit boring, compared to the notes described. No almond or coffee for me after the first five minutes. No flowers in the heart. And no cocoa or sandalwood in the base. What a disappointment.
The bottle is cute. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed by the metallic details, which look a bit too plastic in real life. Luckily the colour of the juice through the glass is amazing.
I will return to this a few more times and see if it starts to perform. If not, it has to go.
