Soft Al Rehab Perfume Oil

difficult start:

This fragrance oil has been sitting with me for 2 years. Since I got it, I haven't liked it.
It is very loud, intense, and long-lasting. Every time I smelled it, it was too powdery, too sweet, too attic, too soap-like, reminding me of a stuffy grandma's bathroom.
Since it is so sweet and strong, I only dared to wear it on cold days... I gave it chances now and then, but it just didn't fit.
I could never understand the comments about lemon cotton candy... Lemon? WHERE?!

Restart:

Today, on a warm day, out of sheer procrastination, I rummaged through my little al Rehab - perfume oil box and pulled out this inexpensive roller.
I carefully dabbed it on my wrist... BAM lemon cake. What?
How can it smell so different now? Where is the lemon coming from, and why do I find it so incredibly good! I used to hate it...
Is it the summer dopamine? The mix with Vitamin D3? Or just the temperature that reveals the beautiful lemon note to me? Has my taste changed? What happened...I don't know. But I'm very happy about it.
I still haven't fully trusted it, I laid down in bed with my book and couldn't concentrate on reading at all, with my nose on my wrist. This is insane. I got up, reapplied: wrists, neck, elbow crease, almost too much. But yes, it had to be done.
Just like this comment. (this has nothing to do with procrastination! *cough* )

The new fragrance experience:

I understand why I smelled soap and powder, but those notes now move to the background in my current perception and give the fragrance a bit more structure. Thus, it is not one of those cloyingly sweet sugar bombs, but somehow a bit more interesting.
The sweetness, creaminess, and lemon stand in the front row.
I can't help but think of ice cream "Buttermilk Lemon" or something like that.

I'm excited about this little rediscovery, and for anyone who has similar muffin experiences: try it on a warm day :)

Longevity and performance and fussiness:

The scent is very long-lasting, and the oil is very economical. A few dabs (!) are completely sufficient to be perceived for a long time and at a distance (those who know al Rehab know this. This one is even...more intense). The sillage is impressive. So: keep care! :D
The bottle is...well, what can I say,... just a roller stick.
