Brilliantly Intentionally Failed???

Hello dear Parfumo community

A lot has already been written... discussed... and said about the scent of Al Waseef Oud Burmi.
It is certainly not really wearable.
Almost everyone agrees on that.

But I think every fragrance has its reason for existence.
Let's take a look at this beautifully failed masterpiece from a different perspective.

Who hasn’t experienced a supervisor at work who is a complete disaster in terms of leadership and/or expression? Maybe even looks terrible?!
Then you can subtly tell him how you feel about him with a nice gift. Of course, the fragrance should be praised beforehand. Give him the Burmi with the words, "It suits you. It reflects your character."

The 2-hour dental appointment can easily be reduced to three-quarters of an hour. How? Of course with Oud Burmi!

Business partnerships you want to end can surely be dissolved nicely with this. A nice card with the right lines...

I also believe that in a failed marriage, a lot can be said without many words. How?
With Oud Burmi.

I could still give many more examples...
Tax office, health insurance, neighborhood, etc...

So let’s celebrate the fragrance.
It also has its reason for existence!!!

Thanks to Al Waseef for this wonderful failed scent. You are really great.

Thanks for reading...

I can think of quite a few situations where I could use it. For example, spraying it in my stalking neighbor's mailbox.

So wicked - it could have been mine: A nasty gift handed over with a smile. You can be mean in a nice way, right? ;) Just the name Burmi - sounds more like a jam or yogurt to me.

The name sounds so "innocent"... Does it really smell that yuck?!? I'll add it to my watchlist... ;-)

Haha cool Basti. The main thing is, there’s no ban from the place. That would be bad at the dentist, for example. :-)

I had a great time reading this! :-) However, if you give this perfume as a gift, it sends a pretty direct and clear message, not exactly “sugar-coated.”

The scent that came to me was labeled "Schwarzer Peter." The top note is bold, but I ended up liking it quite a bit later on.

I wouldn't gift it to the boss; he might end up wearing it to the next meeting, and then you're in trouble. But otherwise, great ideas for alternative uses!

I agree with all your suggestions and congratulate us all on your great ideas for this fragrant monstrosity. However, you could spread a stench much more cheaply, even if it would be harder to gift!

If it's too strong, you're too weak! ;-) A wonderful takedown of one of my favorite and most exquisite oud fragrances.

Nice comment. Every fragrance has its reason for being, you're right! I'm curious to see if it's really as animalic as almost everyone describes it :)

Haha, a brilliant intentional failure of the scent impression to spare us;))) And I’ll remember the tips for certain occasions too, hehe.

Oh, I think I could come up with a few more uses too :-D
I don't know this um, scent, but it strongly reminds me of my experience with Obsessive Oudh some time ago. That was also a complete monstrosity.
I love humorous critiques the most ;-)

Excellent approach. I just wouldn't take it too far, because otherwise it might end up being: once your reputation is ruined, you can live completely without shame...

Hahaha, I would have loved to gift Oud Burmi to a former boss of mine. Luckily, I’m my own boss now :)

The only thing that comes to mind for this scent is a great excuse for a "bad gift exchange" :-D
Thanks for the humorous perspective!
