Today, after a unfortunately very unpleasant incident with one of our dogs, I was a bundle of nerves and completely out of sorts.
Unfortunately, I had to go to dm in this state.
As always, I first lingered at the perfume shelf. To calm myself, I sniffed a few scents until I stumbled upon this one. "Daydream"..... A wonderfully fitting name and it's natural cosmetics too..... Maybe I can forget the nightmare of this afternoon through this.....
Rose, tonka bean, and geranium, exactly the components I really like.
Without much expectation, I grabbed the tester and sprayed the scent on.... the first impression was quite acceptable, but nothing special at first spray.
I then moved on to buy the rest of the stuff through the store. The longer I spent time with it, the more beautiful the scent developed, surrounding me like a tender, comforting embrace. That was exactly what I needed after this cursed afternoon, and I felt a little better.
Now to the scent:
The box is made of unbleached cardboard and printed with roses in a vintage look. On the lower third of the front, the fragrance name and components are displayed in a white field.
The bottle is kept quite simple, you get 50 ml after all.
At first spray, the scent seems nothing special, but then....
First, a fully bloomed, sweet, somewhat heavy rose unfolds, followed by a subtle geranium that acts modestly in the background, but occasionally flashes through, balancing the heaviness of the rose and having a soothing effect.
And then the tonka bean makes its grand entrance, taking the lead with its sweet-bitter note and gently pushing the rose scent into the background.
All three components are beautifully balanced, and in the base note, each one complements the others without any standing out particularly.
The longevity is fantastic for a natural cosmetics scent.
I still perceive the interplay of rose, geranium, and tonka bean very clearly, without getting a headache from it.
The price of just under ten euros is also great, so I took a second scent for my sister.
Now - after a little more than 4.5 hours, the scent is still fully present and I love it very much.
I will wear it as a special everyday scent in the future, especially when I am not feeling well - like today - and need comfort.
