Very helpful Review
A Wild Beast!
I saw the scent while browsing.
Animalic notes - aww yiss.
A lot of wood - check.
Labdanum - check.
Earthy notes - interesting.
With animalic notes, ATH Animalix has really captivated me. A fragrance as versatile as it is unique. When I went through the description of Figment Man, I was looking forward to something similar and was indeed not disappointed. The scent smells truly animalistic and exactly as expected.
I honestly can't understand the negative reviews.
Sure, the fragrance doesn't appeal to everyone, but I always welcome it when a scent is radically different and completely falls outside the mainstream. I would love to experience such fragrances more often.
Similar to Animalix, Figment Man also invites a lot of experimentation and combination. A little vanilla or perhaps rose added. The possibilities are endless.
But it can also be worn on its own, preferably on the skin and under clothing.
This way, you have a subtle masculine-rough note without smelling like a stable or cellar.
However, when worn in larger quantities, it can indeed come off a bit musty, and I have to agree with the other commentators on that. Negative remarks from others are almost pre-programmed if they are not into the perfume game.
I can recommend a small decant to everyone.
As the saying goes, trying is better than studying.
