Sweet Sacrifice

No review from a woman? Well, I’ll take the plunge.
After reading the existing reviews, I had a lot of respect for the fragrance, almost fear. It was described as grill charcoal, as harmony through chaos, and even as a ghost conjurer. One should definitely have respect for that. Especially since I made the mistake yesterday of wearing 5 (five!) sprays of Purpose 50.
Unjustly.
Let’s start with two sprays. A warm, sweet smoke spreads out. In the first few minutes, it reminds me of Fucking Fabulous Eau de Parfum. I don’t know why, as the scents have hardly anything in common.
But this impression persists even after 30 minutes.
Slowly, the incense really unfolds. Not stinky, not sharp, but warm and seductive. Amber mixes in.
The fragrance transforms. It becomes more composed. It enriches itself with patchouli.
I have the urge to light herbs at a certain age to call forth the old spirits. Ah, now I understand the allusion.
This impression remains for the next few hours and blends with the oud, and I love it.
Definitely a wonderful, enriched, warm smoke.
I’m glad about the two sprays, but one more would have been fine too.
