@Smirky I think I’m being too generous with my ratings tbh. Still can’t cope with what’s happening to Amouage.
Darwish on the other hand is an absolute banger, currently out of stock, but I’ll get an email notif once it’s restocked.
I'm hearing/reading different opinions on this. Sandalwood galore, home depot etc... You're mentioning pine, which I like and I see that scent wise it's close to an 8 + performance seems OK. I will still sample it, when it lands on the shelves.
Amouage has hit and misses as any other house, and I learnt that the fishman catastrophism is a bit exaggerated... I am not optimistic about Timber, but still curious.
@Merlotsupern this is far removed from a woody scent that fully commits. It's more of an aromatic, chocolatey vanilla with soft green/pinene and dry woody facets and maybe a touch of smoke.
Not calling it a catastrophe either, but to put things into perspective - PantaRei's Darwish is sitting at $130/50ml. Put your nose on that if you want to experience something truly woody, resinous and spicy.
