The darker version of the master piece!
Amouage, a house I hold high, stil... It is the second niche house I tried about 14 years a go when I started my fragrance journey, and Reflection Man was the first I tried from the house. Now, many years later, they released a more concentrated "45" version of Reflection Man.
The original Reflection Man was, and still is, amazing. It is easy to wear and loved by many, also outside this community (yes, often there is a difference here). Even though I still love Reflection Man, I stopped wearing it for a few years now. With the new Extrait, I started wearing this DNA again, and I love it!
I find myself reaching for the Extrait more than I would expect, mostly for colder months and spring evenings. It is such an easy grab and I think this is the reason for that.
Compared to the original, there are many similarities; it shares the scent character for a big part, but there is also a noticable difference. This version, as you may expect, is indeed deeper and darker.
I do believe that this is a great flanker and a beautiful addition to the original. And to me, it is an additional and everyone asking within the community I would say the same. For folks outside the community I would recommend choosing one from both as they wouldn't detect enough difference compared to one which is into this game! Where the OG is more versatile, I tend to reserve the Extrait mainly for evenings.
The performance of the OG is good (yes, it was better), and this Extrait is even better. Maybe even too good... It lasts easily all day all night.
All in all, Reflection 45 is beautiful. A darker more intense version of the master piece Reflection Man. I enjoy it.
