FANTASTIC!!
I am an enthusiastic Amouage loyalist, and I found this “on sale” for $400. It was a choice between this one and Interlude 53, and I chose this one.
This is definitely fuller, richer, and thicker than the original version. A louder and stronger scent, that only projects to a roughly 2ft radius, with a sillage trail that lingers nicely. You have to get in close, but it does mark where you’ve been. It also lasts over 8hours as far as longevity goes.
If you like the original, you will love how this one smells.
Is it worth $500 though? Honestly, I would say no. Does that mean I regret buying it, or dislike it? Nope. Hell, I’m probably going to buy the Interlude 53 as well. I’m just saying it is overpriced.
Honestly I say all frags that exceed $200 are overpriced. But so are video games, fine wines, and women's purses. It’s a hobby. I enjoy collecting them, and I will foolishly overpay for all of my favorite brands of scents.
Again. This is FANTASTIC in my opinion. I love the original; this one amplifies all of my favorite aspects of it, and outperforms it in longevity. I do wish it projected more, but when you have higher degrees of concentration, you lose projection. That’s an unfortunate fact. It DOES leave a thick sillage trail behind though, and no one else smells like I do when I sport this.
When you start looking at frags that cost this much, and consider buying them, you’re an addict, and you’re GOING TO overpay, period. No 100ml glass bottle of smelly oils is worth $200+. Will you admit it to yourself? That’s the question. I admit it, and I’m going to proudly waste more money on more frags, so I can enjoy my time on sites like this with people like you.
Cheers!
