Death Andromeda's Curse

I love this - and I'm not surprised. Evocative. Simple but perfect. Lily and carnation put a little bit of melancholy in that, not softening the whole scent but giving it the feeling of a tear streaming down your cheek. I can't smell the tea but that's not a problem: every other note here it's just... the perfect image of facing the death of a loved one. Cursed to be alive, in front of the Death itself.

I don’t have any associations with death. The first thing that hits the nose after application is the scent of petrichor — the mineral smell of the earth. By itself, it’s mossy, chypre-like. It’s geosmin, but here it’s in the right concentration. Added to that is the aroma of fragrant cloves, you know, those small ones that start releasing their spicy scent especially strongly in the evening and at night. It’s a very meditative fragrance, and although I barely notice the incense, this combination: the clove flower and petrichor, grounds me and doesn’t evoke any grave-like associations at all.

A straightforward melancholic floral scent. The musk in the opening adds a decaying smell to them, which although fades quickly. Carnation and lily are easily distinguishable yet both are very sad and mourning. The floral notes start out quite weak but get stronger with time, as if you're approaching the casket where the bouquet (and the dearly departed) lies. Later on, the earthy note appears, as if the bouquet had already started to wilt. I detect no tea on my skin. Incense is faint.

this reminded of walking down a cemetery at night. it has an initial vicks / vaporub smell, then it dries down to a musk. it stays on for a long time. when i first tried it, i put a little bit on my wrist in the afternoon and it stayed on overnight into the next morning. it really sticks to your skin. it's an intriguing scent, but i wouldn't wear it on a regular day

after i spilled my perfume bottle of death, i couldnt stop thinking about it. there is something so moody, dark, and broody about the traces of this scent. i had to get it again. it is my favorite from this perfume house and a staple in my collection

I loved this one so much I bought backup bottles. Carnations, lilies, a graveyard funerary wreath releasing its last petals before dying. The funeral party has moved on, but the scent of grief lingers, mixed with the soil of the freshly filled grave. Beneath it all, the lovely , subtle incense base Andromeda’s Curse does so well.
