Unfortunately too exhausting…

I received my sample of Gaya today around 11 o'clock. I was really looking forward to this fragrance, as I am generally very interested in fruity scents. Right off the bat: Gaya is indeed very fruity, but in a different way than Kirké, Erba Pura, and Orza.

Now I unfortunately have to start with the negative. Gaya is really exhausting for me to wear; the combination of these fruits with milk, licorice, and oud I find somehow unbearable. It truly tires me to wear Gaya. The scent has something of gummy bears and licorice dissolved in alcohol. Personally, I do not want to smell like that. I can smell the pear and mango well, which I quite like, but everything else just does not work for me at all. Gaya is truly the most exhausting perfume I have encountered in a long time. I don't know if you can relate to these associations of mine, but for me, Gaya was therefore a complete flop. A perfume that I cannot wear is unfortunately not interesting to me.

The quality is of course absolutely top-notch, even if I do not like the scent. The longevity is clearly over 10 hours with a very strong sillage.

I completely agree with you. I wanted to get it off my skin quickly too. It felt very unfinished to me.

Oud and fruits, wasn't that just at Matos recently? It could work, but the other notes... Hmm...

I don't know the scent, but fruity milk sounds pretty bad. And with licorice and oud as a topping... phew, no, I don't need to test that. ?
