Love the fragrance HATE the NEW bottle
I tried this in a niche perfume store in spain. I actually went into the store to try anfas ishq but while ishq was lovely, it didnt wow me. Still wanting to try the ishq special to see if its more intense since ishq is quite subtle. ANYWAYS I digress. So I picked up gaya on a whim and sprayed it and instantly i was like OMG, PEAR? JUICY REALISTIC PEAR?!??! Ive never smelt anything like this before. It has a freshness but not in the light alcoholic manner to which many french perfumes have. It literally smells like i shoved a bunch of pears into a juicer and turned it into a reduction to drizzle over my desert. That's how fresh it smells. It also has a complexity and mild intensity/heaviness from the other notes. I didnt even know the notes before I sprayed it. I just assumed it would be a grassy floral fragrance (which it certainly is not). Anyways I love love love.

Also I realize some people have said they noticed a spicyness to this fragrance. I dont smell any of that. I just smell like a fresh juicy pear reduction which dries down into a sweet candy.

The real problem is that the NEW bottle is absolutely HIDEOUS. Its so ugly. I actually emailed anfas and mentioned that they should bring back the old gold and green bottle because it really resonated with the arabic sense of luxury. The new bottle I cannot fathom having that on my shelf for display. Definitely not paying 345 euros for an ugly bottle no matter how much I love the scent. Frustratingly, I contacted multiple stores and websites in italy, france and spain searching for the old bottle. Even though all of them advertised as selling the gold and green bottle, in fact they were selling the glass transparent and green one. It was disappointment after disappointment until I finally found it being sold here on souk. Purchased right away from a lovely lady and it arrived before the end of the week. The green waxed seal had sadly partially broken off during shipment. Not the seller's fault though. She packed it well. I think the bottle is just older and the shipping company was rough. Lucky it was a clean break so I used some super glue and stuck it back on. You can only tell the wax seal was damaged if you look very closely. Most importantly I have a scent I love and a beautiful bottle which matches my perfume display shelf. So a 2 for the bottle because the old gold and green bottle is no longer available. This is also why I gave a 6 for the value for money. Only the clear glass one is for sale now. I mean if youre going to drop over 300 Euros for a perfume the bottle better be stunning enough to justify the price, but the new bottle design is just diabolical. If they ever bring back the gold and green I will gladly change my bottle and value for money rating to a 10.

Unfortunately too exhausting…
I received my sample of Gaya today around 11 o'clock. I was really looking forward to this fragrance, as I am generally very interested in fruity scents. Right off the bat: Gaya is indeed very fruity, but in a different way than Kirké, Erba Pura, and Orza.

Now I unfortunately have to start with the negative. Gaya is really exhausting for me to wear; the combination of these fruits with milk, licorice, and oud I find somehow unbearable. It truly tires me to wear Gaya. The scent has something of gummy bears and licorice dissolved in alcohol. Personally, I do not want to smell like that. I can smell the pear and mango well, which I quite like, but everything else just does not work for me at all. Gaya is truly the most exhausting perfume I have encountered in a long time. I don't know if you can relate to these associations of mine, but for me, Gaya was therefore a complete flop. A perfume that I cannot wear is unfortunately not interesting to me.

The quality is of course absolutely top-notch, even if I do not like the scent. The longevity is clearly over 10 hours with a very strong sillage.

Fruit Bomb
Gaya is currently one of my favorite fragrances. It is extremely fruity and very sweet. The longevity and sillage are above average. Two sprays are still clearly noticeable even after 10 hours. The scent takes some time to fully develop. Definitely not for every nose and certainly not mainstream. A very special fragrance with an oriental touch.

Iced Tea Peach Scent
Smells sweet-fruity at first, almost a bit soapy, pleasant and clean-fresh. Then it turns into an iced tea peach scent. But with a bit more sweetness, totally pleasant and special.

Personally, I find it okay, slightly oriental and definitely unisex. Suitable for the whole year.

When testing it, you should give it at least 10 minutes to unfold.

Favorite Spring Fragrance
A beautiful spring fragrance that immediately captivated me.
It opens fruity-sweet-spicy, but right away with a certain depth that keeps you hooked. Over time, it becomes less sweet-fruity and a bit more creamy-spicy. Very pleasant progression. At this point, you can definitely call it a unisex fragrance, suitable for both men and women. In the dry-down, the woods and oud become more pronounced, making the scent a bit dirtier and the playful fruity notes disappear, which I personally really like.
It must be said that the fragrance lasts a very long time (sometimes until the next day) on the skin and even longer on clothing. The bottle is exceptionally artistically designed and an absolute eye-catcher. The only downside is that the sillage could be improved. It is noticeable, but I would wish for even more radiance.

Unfortunately, Anfas Gaya is an expensive pleasure and currently priced at 380€/100ml, making it a very costly niche fragrance. I had to treat myself to it because I couldn't resist, so I don't regret the purchase. I enjoy wearing it in spring and outdoors.

Gaya opens with a gourmand sweet mango, pear and spices. After a while, it becomes creamy, milky and liquorish. Drydown is slightly woody.

After a juicy, spicy fruity-sweet opening, this creamy/sweet oriental-fruity Gourmand, settles to a warm and dusty resinous-woody base.

Great start with delicious mango lassi. Quickly transforms into a mix of fruits with a dry wood base.

It's intense... on the edge of bearable. Licorice snail desperately tries to free the overripe mango from the milk glass... phew.

An incredible, powerful fruit!
In the dry down, very prominent lactonic
Fruit is healthy, but this mango lassi is a bit too sweet.

Joy is the sky under which everything thrives: radiant, ripe-sweet, and tropical pear-mango. Smooth-creamy-milky Irish wood.

Fruits, licorice, milk, and anise are quite a challenge on their own, but together they don't really hit the mark for me. Woody amber base is okay.

Sweet ripe mango, milk, and licorice are very dominant at first. Later, woods and oud join in. Quite unique.
