Already Smelled 1000 Times

The title is of course a bit exaggerated, but it does express my associations with Shaghaf in an exaggerated way. Shaghaf was completely unknown to me, and I only became the owner of a small decant as a free addition to a purchase in the souk.

Shaghaf is a typical oriental perfume. After spraying, we are presented with the whole palette from the Orient: Oud, leather, tobacco, amber, vanilla, cardamom, etc. Only the top note adds a bit of freshness, although I can't pick out any individual notes here. Only towards the end do Oud, tobacco, and leather come through a bit more.

The problem for me is that I have smelled this combination so many times, often with slight variations, but still the same or very similar. It somehow disappoints me. It is simply disappointing and boring, and there is no desire to own Shaghaf at all. There is simply nothing distinctive here. Shaghaf is one of those scents where I think: Seriously!!!
It’s just sad to bring such a mainstream product to market for such a price. I can't really complain too much here, but Shaghaf is just not great. Here, it’s just boring.

The longevity and sillage are quite solid at 8-9 hours with a moderate sillage of about an arm's length.

I'm really curious which scents are very similar to this one and are also reasonably priced. There haven't been any significant matches recorded in the database so far.
