Already smelled 1000 times
The headline is of course a bit exaggerated, but it expresses my associations with Shaghaf somewhat exaggerated. Shaghaf was completely unknown to me and only as a free addition of a purchase in the souk I became owner of a small bottling.
Shaghaf is a typical oriental perfume. After spraying on we get to see the whole range from the Orient: oud, leather, tobacco, amber, vanilla, cardamom, etc.. Only the top note adds a bit of freshness, although I can't smell any individual notes here. Only towards the end oud, tobacco and leather asserts itself a little more.
The problem for me is now, however, that I have smelled this combination so often, often with slight variation, but still the same to very similar. The whole thing disappoints me somehow. It's just disappointing and boring and it doesn't feel like owning Shaghaf at all. There is just nothing standalone here. Shaghaf is one of those scents where I think to myself: seriously!!!
It's just sad to bring such a mainstream for such a price on the market. Grumble and grumble I can not great here, but Shaghaf is just not great. Here but by being boring.
The durability and silage is but quite solid 8-9 hours at a moderate silage of about an arm's length.
