Biedermeier Fragrance
Bouquet d`Amour has a very fitting name. The perfume makes me think of Spitzweg paintings. There stands a gentleman in a frock coat, slightly bent forward, awkwardly twirling a top hat in one hand while presenting a romantic little bouquet to a girl with the other.
Although jasmine and tuberose are noted as floral nuances, the scent is not that voluminous at all. It comes across as rather transparent and a bit kitschy-cute. I think young, rather demure girls, for whom Bouquet d`Amour might be intended, would prefer Daisy by Marc Jacobs today. I could more easily imagine an elderly lady wanting to be reminded of her youth with this fragrance.
The perfume is finely composed and quite pleasant. However, it really does not belong to my fragrance preferences at all. Still, it brings a faint smile to my face.
