Spring Love: the First Kiss

The midday sun of a bright May day unfolds its full power, blissfully caressing its rays over the lush sea of blossoms of the cherry tree ...
The lover stretches towards it, surrendering helplessly to the warm sweetness of the first, shy kiss ...

No drama, no fanfare-playing cherubs beneath a tearing cloud cover, no - rather a gentle, stimulating flirt that awakens the senses from their winter slumber.

Wrapped in a delicate veil of light and blossoms, the lovers linger in a tender embrace ... and as the evening hour reveals the moment of farewell, the first kiss is but a memory.
What remains, however, is the longing for the next day ...

Conclusion:
In the top note, I perceive Hanami by Annayaké as rather sweet and a bit heavy.
In the powdery heart note, its entire softness reveals itself in the cherry blossom accord like a caressing, pink veil.
The slightly woody base note seems to me no more than a whisper - within a few hours it reaches and becomes hardly perceptible.
Despite - or perhaps because of - its mediocre longevity, I just can't get enough of this fragrance.

It's truly a shame that Hanami is no longer produced.

I really liked Hanami; the longevity was quite good for me. 2 bottles went bad after about a year, so enjoy it rather than letting it sit. :))
