The loveliest of trees
"Hanami" is Japanese and means "taking an appreciating look at the cherry-blossom". That's why the fragile and delicate flower is the star of this pretty scent, ideal for the cherry blossom season.
Although "Hanami" isn't long-lasting and complex, it's beautiful in its own way and teaches us a lesson about life's constant progression and the passing of sensual and olfactory pleasures.
Here’s a poem called "Loveliest of Trees" by A. E. Housman (1859 – 1936) which matches the "Hanami"-scent:
Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide.
Now, of my threescore years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.
And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.
