Pop Orange
Have I mentioned that I am not part of the sun-worshipper faction?
The heat of the last few days has not driven me into nature or even into overcrowded ice cream parlors.
I had no desire to lay on the balcony in a bikini or go to the swimming lake.
In short: I hate summer, would love to abolish it, stamp it out, and condemn it forever.
Anything over 25 degrees Celsius is a torment for me. Sweat flows in streams, my clothes stick to me, I can hardly breathe.
By nature, I am something like a human heater. I never have cold hands or feet, and everyone I shake hands with asks me if I have a fever.
So you can imagine what high outdoor temperatures do to me: yes, that's right: I am burning up.
My husband can never get enough heat; he really thrives at 40 degrees Celsius; I, on the other hand, am practically comatose.
But what can you do? Move into the freezer? Life must go on.
You go to work, shop, expose yourself to the usual daily routine while you would rather settle down at the South Pole to breed penguins.
Now, what interests us about perfume: what does a vanilla junkie wear while theoretically frying eggs on the asphalt?
Thanks to the lovely Duchess (you are the best), I wear Vaniglia, Bourbon & Mandarino. Juicy-fruity, very natural mandarin paired with subtle, absolutely summer-appropriate vanilla. A scent like vanilla ice cream with orange sauce.
Pop-Orange.
As a child, that was my favorite ice cream.
Vanilla-orange ice cream in a white-red slider.
This beautiful scent automatically lifts the corners of my mouth upwards, despite the dog days' heat.
The only downside: it is a bit too fleeting for me... but you can see or rather smell here that vanilla, in the right dose and combined with mandarin, can be quite refreshing.
